Question about Anubis (Spoiler for season 7 and maybe 8)

What if thousands of years ago, Anubis took over the body of a dying Ancient? Maybe that was how he ascended.

Well, he wouldn't take over a dying ancient, because simply in their form I don't think they can. But be may have took over someone just before they were going to ascend. The quesion for this story would be, how would he know s/he was about to ascend?

And where is this "10,000 years ago" speculation from? Atlantis pretty much indicates that things were over for the Ancients over 4 million years ago.

hmm, not an episode I watch very often, i've seen it maybe twice. And if this is anything to do with that girl from frozen, the one that was frozen, then for that to be the case, Ancients have to be able to live for millions of years, as she was alive and kicking when Atlantis left Earth. For her to have only been frozen 10,000 years in the past, then she would have had to live for 5 million years.

He probably didn't know the Ancient was about to ascend. It's possible he found other Ancients frozen or in stasis (like Ayiana), he just decide to take one as host. Then all sort of Ancient knowledge goodies went to his head. The ascension is just a bonus.

the hologram on atlantis said that at the end of the war with the wraith, those remaining ancients that were basicaly trapped on atlantis adn unable to leave because of the wraith decided to sink atlantis and return through the gate to earth, you can only speculate at the time between atlantis leaving earth and the return of the few remaining ancients to earth but considering, they spread life through out the pegasus galaxy, and established a whole new gate network spanning thousands of worlds, established unknown hundreds of new colonies, im guessing that they were active in the pegasus galaxy for a long long time before they were forced to retreat back to earth. chances are those few ancients came back and were the engineers of the second evolution of the human race. But the human race is estimated to be between 100,000 adn 300,000 years old, that would put even the possibility of an Ancient and Anubis being around at the same time very very slim. besides if he had taken an ancient as a host upon ascension wouldnt there be two waring pshyce's in the ascended being? i think its more likely he came across records of their "reasearch" on ascension and used it himself.

Didn't the wraith queen say that they hadn't had a feeding ground so good for the past 10,000 years? That means the ancients returned within the last 10,000 years, so it could be possible for Anubis to take an ancient as a host.
