Babylon 5: Third Space & Camelot supergate scene

Did anyone get the same vibe when they saw the Ori supergate opening? It felt a lot like the Third-Space Gate that the Vorlons created as it opened up to another universe/dimension.

And here's another good site. It shows the 100m long Third Space fighters shooting "anti-matter" bolts.

The main difference is... in Babylon 5 the managed to destroy the gate and prevented the Third Space motherships from coming through.

Here in StarGate.... well.... thats what happens when you let the motherships of ultra-powerful villains come through the portal.

Oh and here's a pic (accurate re-rendering) of the Third Space capitalship. Note any similarities? Big honking space guns up front and a ball of light inside the ship. Albeit its surrounded by detached sections instead of large ring/stargate...

Not sure...I found the TSAers kind of scary because they were so alien and had a simple belief of exterminating us. The Ori have this scary feeling that its not alien to you but the fact that they are so powerful and believe they are righteous in their cause makes it disturbing. I mean like Vala said in Crusade...Tomin was the kindest and nicest person she had ever met and he would do ANYTHING for the Ori.

'Hallowed are the children of the Ori. CROWD: Hallowed are we. Hallowed are the Ori.' -

'Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the Gods, ships shall be built to carry the warriors out among the stars and we will spread Origin to all the unbelievers. The power of the Ori will be felt far and wide and the wicked shall be vanquished' -

Actually, that did cross my mind during the ep.

EDIT: The thirdscape thing that is not that either were particularly scary. Although Ivonovas dream and the brainwashed lurkers (and Lyta) were kinda creepy.
Joseph Mallozzi -"In the meantime, I'm into season 5 of OZ (where the show takes an unfortunate hairpin turn into "the not so wonderful world of fantasy")"

^^^ Kinda sounds like seasons 9 and 10 of SG-1 to me. Thor, ya got Aspirin?

AGateFan has officially Gone Fishin (with Jack, Sam, Daniel, Teal'c) and is hoping Atlantis does not take that same hairpin turn.

Have to say B5 didn't cross my mind while watching the Season 9 finale.

Interesting, though I must say I never thought about it when I watched Camelot. I'll have to watch Third Space and Camelot back-to-back sometime to compare the two.

I just noticed another thing. The energy discharges from the Third Space Alien fighters look very similar to that of the Ori. Or... vice-versa.

Apparently the TSA fighters can also do 1-shot kills against frigate class starships or even a clustered squadron of fighers.
