After the entrance of the Ori ships into our galaxy, the Pentagon ordered the development of a new Battle Cruiser. Our scientists at Area 51 used a donated Hat'ak, wreckage from Ori Starships, and info donated from the Asgard in the new design. When the scientists were unable create a powercore to power the ship, they turns to the Atlantis team. After long experimentation with the help of the Ancient Respository of Knowledge, Dr. Rodney McKay figured out how to build a ZPM, but sadly, there are not enough materials for mas production, so only a 8 were made.

With 6 ZPMs, the scientists at Area 51 were able to build 6 X-306s. The ships made their maiden voyage in 2007. Their mission was to destory the Supergate. Followed by the Russian 304, The Daedalus, Oddessy, 2 other 304s, and the Ancient Class Orion, the Earth Armada engaged the gate, but were attacked by 30 Ori Starships.

The F-306s engaged and destroyed the Starships and destroyed them with ease. Then the armada delivered several Gatebuster warheads, which took out the gate.

Yes I did say no fanwanking... evidently someone didn't read my guideline to a bad post.

Constructive criticism(I sound like Hk-47 lol):

Whats with the Twin Ancient hyperdrives. Surely 1 is enough... Also Asgard hyperdrives are supperior to Ancient ones-thats not even open for discussion.End of story.

You shouldn't really desing ships that include the need for ZPM's or drones as we won't be mass producing any of those any time soon. Therefore it's impractical to desing ships around them.

Those are my idea/design-You don't even know what they are meant to do so don't use them in ur future desingns. Stealing ideas from another poster must surely be against one forum rule or another.

This is completely insane and would never ever happen in stargate. I posted this last year and thought o what the hell, ill post it again.

          The Samantha Carter Super-BattleCarrier
          Taur'i SuperFlagship

          Specs/Facts

          Dimensions: Body – 8 mi long, 3.5 mi wide, 1 level= 20m high

          Production Run: 2

          Weight: 300 Million Metric Tons

Arm length – ½ mi long, ¼ mi wide

Power: The Samantha Carter is powered by 6 zero point modules, as well as several dozen Mark II Naquadah generators for backup. There are also 6 spare ZPM’s.

Hyperdrive: Ancient Intergalactic Hyperdrive Powered by two Zero Point Modules and can reach speeds equivalent to 500,000c

Shields: ancient much like Atlantis’ shield, with a backup asgard shield
          10 Sub-light engines: Ancient Sub-light system capable of reaching 185,999 miles/second

Docking clamps: can dock 2 Daedalus Class Battle Cruisers.

Escape Pods – one escape pod can hold 400 people, P-90’s and enough ammo and explosives to wage a small war. Will not leave ship until it is 95% occupied everyone is buckled. If so, escape pod will move to the side for jettisoning through a parallel tube.

Quarters- One quarters room on one floor is capable of holding up to 400 people.

Bridge – There are four sections to the bridge, the Primary Control, Defensive Control, Ground Control and the Briefing room.

There are several asgard sensors on board to allow the beaming of multiple objects at a time.

Hull - The hull is composed of Kull warrior armor, Carbon, Naquadah, Trinium, and Neutronium.

All positions have double the number of personnel to allow for half of each position to be on duty at any given time and half off duty. The exceptions are the pilots, Armored Divisions and Marines.

The Stargate on board has a universal point of origin and SG teams that go on missions through the Stargate have a special receiver that plugs into the DHD and automatically dials The Samantha Carter

Chair Weapons Platform: 240,000 drones are capable of being called upon, 10,000 are stationed at each vent and there are 120,000 in storage

Cargo Bay- Split into two sections with a large door that separates the two. Both sections contain tractor beams One section is able to house 1,000 M1 Abrams Battle Tanks and the other section can hold something near the size of a goa’uld mother ship.

Fighters bays house: The four fighter bays hold a grand total of 450 Puddle jumpers, 400 F-302’s w/VTOL capabilities, 125 Alkesh and 100 cargo ships. There are shelves in the fighter bays that stack the ships above each other. Two M1 Abrams tanks can be attached to one Cargo Ship for deployment along with 200 Marines plus the tank crews inside. Energy shields are placed at the exits of the fighter bays, so no depressurization is necessary.

Weapons Control – All weapons control consoles are manned by one person per weapon emplacement, all friendly vessels are programmed into the computer and cannot be locked onto.

Armories can be found throughout the ship but are locked under normal conditions with the exception of the Master Armory which is only accessible to SG teams and security officers.

This ship kicks so much ass that it doesnt need a cloak.

            AN-SPY-3 AEGIS combat system
            Goa'uld Rings

*This version of the Abydos's technical and historical notes are essentially unchanged. However, there are a few minor differences:

~Her armament of defense rail guns has been increased, but they are of a smaller calibre. Her armament of assault rail guns has been decreased, but their calibre has been increased by a significant amount. Her firepower is thus improved in anti-fighter and anti-small craft combat, and essentially unchanged in anti-capital ship combat.

~Her "wings" are lined with anti-gravity wave generators, which gives her increased maneuverability and acceleration in normal space. She has also been slightly decreased in size, which makes her a more difficult target.

Her primary rail guns, equipped with depleted-uranium slugs with naquada-tips, are fired at roughly 20% of the speed of light with help from cheap, expendable intertial dampener units attached to each shell. The moment before impact, the intertial dampener unit deactivates, thus returning all the inertia and kinetic energy to the slug as it rams into an enemy ship. These new rail guns are expected to become the primary armament aboard all Earth-warships in place of current larger-calibre rail guns. Combined with her missiles, exceptional maneuverability and speed, the Abydos is a match for any threat starship up to the firepower of a late-model Ha'tak-class vessel.

Unfortunately, due to her small size, she does not pack as much overall ordnance as Daedalus-class starships, meaning her combat endurance is much shorter. And, she is only faster than BC-304s in real-space: In hyperspace, she can barely keep up with them. Added to her lack of fighters, and her roles are somewhat more limited than the BC-304. However, what she does do, she does very well. Her missions include, but are not limited to:

            ~Covert surveillance while under cloak
            ~Fleet fire support
            ~Escort and patrol
            ~Ground assault
~Interdiction missions (able to hold her own against entire Al'kesh squadrons.)

She is also the first Earth starship to use the EP-100 escape pod system, employing over eight of the small spacecraft, as well as at least one Tel'tac cargo ship for support and covert operations.

The moment before impact, the intertial dampener unit deactivates, thus returning all the inertia and kinetic energy to the slug as it rams into an enemy ship.
The trick with the inertial damperns will not work.
You are descriping the inertial damperns as they are reducing the mass of the slug when firing, this is fine. However the instant they are turned of, the slug will basicaly stop dead in its tracks since it now has a increased mass and therefor its kinetic energy with propels it is not large enough anymore to propel the increased mass. It would only fly as fast then as it would have been in the first place when fired without the damperns.
All you gain is a faster flight time, not more punch at the impact.

Hey, you never asked anyone not to make fun of the fanwanks.

I wasn't talking about you. Somehow I didn't think your awsome ship was that serious I was talking about 'Freyr's Mother' and 'deadman'

I must however whine at you regarding your selection of hot women. Brunettes are the ultimate weapons ffs. Granted I have an attraction to girls with blue/screaming red/green/purple/random color hair

                          Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Well... I dated a redhead once.... that experience imprinted upon me the impression that a pissed-off redhead is the greatest weapon this, or any other galaxy, as ever or will ever know.

Yes, redheads usually screams at you 'till your ears fall off, wheres a blonde holds a grudge forever. A brunette however doesn't strike overtly, and doesn't hold a grudge forever. She simply looks for the opportunity when you aren't expecting it she'll cut off your manly parts You'll be like "WTF HAPPEND?!"

Personally there're just too many variances of the red haircolor. I've got a girl in my class that has the most beautiful red color, and I'd take her haircolor over any brunette version on a GF anytime

Damnit. Well, I've done the calculations.

Depleted uranium shells, with a diameter of 155mm, have a mass of 102 kilograms. Times a velocity of 30% of the speed of light (approx. 100,000,000 meters/sec), which gives us the kinetic energy of 5.1 X 10^17 joules. For comparision, the Hiroshima detonation in 1945 had a total energy output of roughly 5.1 X 10^13 joules-Or, about 10 kilotons.

Ergo, my rail gun's kinetic energy, four orders of magnitude above the Hiroshima explosion, gives us a working force of 100,000 kilotons-Or, 100 megatons per shot. Assuming that each gun of the Abydos fires five rounds for each salvo, the ship can deliver 1,000 megatons of force against enemy targets roughly every other second. This, combined with her Asgard shields and cloaking technology, gives the Abydos the ability to easily defeat entire squadrons of Al'kesh, and make her an effective enough platform to harass enemy fleet formations while the BC-304s and bigger ships pound them with more potent weaponry. Against Ha'tak-class motherships, the Abydos is able to hold her own, but against larger ships she is not intended (though she is capable) to slug it out ship-to-ship. With her cloaking device, she is perfect for surprise attacks, hit and run, and commerce raiding missions.

Her missile armament is a mix of space-modified AMRAAM missiles, for use against enemy fighters and small craft, Mk. VII and Mk. VIII warhead missiles, for use against motherships, and a number of precision-guided, conventional Maverick and Tomahawk missiles, perfect for ground attack and fire-support missions.

In conclusion, the Abydos is intended to be a space-borne version of an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer and Virginia-class attack submarine-Small, stealthy, flexible, cost-efficient, and well-armed.

I must say I feel your 20-30 PSL railguns are way too much. 2-3 PSL is, according to me, much more realistic in SG1. If you have 30PSL then the projectiles will travel at 60+30 PSL, 90 PSL if the enemy ship is at 0 PSL.
