In the Mini Serie, have you noticed,

when they make the lotterie on Caprica (Boomer and Helo) , and the old lady ask Baltar if he can read her number because she forgot her glasses at home, actualy she forgot them on her head!!!

Watch closely and you'll see it! I found it funny the second time I saw the miniserie!

I think it's a tribute or something to Star Trek because on that, the writer's had an inside joke of trying to put the number 47 in as much as they could.

Later on, someone mentions that Boomer had 47 successful landings.

It's not only a Star Trek thing. The show Alias also had a lot of 47 references. Supposedly, 47 is the most recurring random number in the universe.
