That's what I wanted to know. How did Mac catch the guy? I figured he got away somehow.

They met his wife and the guy was planning to run away with her and his kid.
They set up a sting for him at the train station they were departing from.

I like CSI New York - here in Germany they seem to mix the eps but whenever I manage to watch I really like the team and Mac in particular. Miami doesn't get to me, but there is CSI New Orleans now with Scott Bakula - I like that guy!!

Actually it's NCIS New Orleans. Different franchise.
Where in the World is George Hammond?

What happened in the final episode of CSI? How did they end the show? I missed it.

              Spoilered for spoilers
              Spoiler:
A "suicide bomber" kills himself in the casino that Catherine Willow's father left her, so she comes back to Vegas. Working at the casino is former police captain Jim Brass. DB Russell states that this will be his last case as a Vegas CSI and that Sara is the slated to take over.

While investigating the bombing all clues seem to lead to Lady Heather, a former professional dominatrix who tangled with the CSIs before, primarily with Grissom. Her involvement leads to Grissom coming back to Vegas to help. All clues point to Heather as the mastermind of the bombings (as there has been a second suicide bomber) except Grissom who thinks she is innocent.

Grissom brings Heather in to the police the department and very quickly gets under Sara's skin. Eventually it comes out that Sara is still very much in love with Grissom and she uses her and Heather's mutual love for him to help with the case leading to the eventual arrest of one of Heather's former clients.

With the case closed, Russell packs up his office revealing that Finn has died in the interim, Catherine decides to return as a CSI in Vegas, Sara is confirmed as taking over for Russell but is told to watch the video of Grissom to talking Heather and she realizes that he still loves Sara. So Sara leaves the lab and Vegas getting Catherine in as the new boss and Sara and Grissom sail off into the sunset.
No Sam w/o a Jack and no Jack w/o a Sam.

That sounds corny but the way they do the show it would probably have been done really well. I am sad I missed it now.

                Spoiler:
Did not think they'd bring Lady Heather back into the show. She was one of the best side characters.

It was done well, we really wish that Cyber had been cancelled and not Vegas, DB is wasted in Cyber division and the forced friendship between him and the team is very obvious in a 'hey he's got a second year on his contract so we're going to put him in your show and you've got to pretend you've known him for years, we'll just ignore the fact he's from the other side of the Country, has never mentioned any involvmnt with anything other than Chicago and Vegas and you've never crossed paths before' kind of way.

Oh, not to mention the fact he hardly knew how to switch on a PC in Vegas but suddenly knows intricate coding in Cyber....

OMG it sounds like they jumped the shark a bit here.

Didn't they do a cross over with CSI LV?

The second to last episode of Season 14 of CSI LV served as back-door pilot for Cyber. The only character to appear was Avery played by Patricia Arquette.

Yeah they did have a backdoor pilot, but it just feels forced in Cyber itself.

But just ignore me, I'm just bitter Vegas got cancelled in favour of Cyber

Oh I only watch CSI Cyber because I like Patricia Arquette. Loved her in Medium so I watch this for her. It's the worst of the CSI franchise. Riddled with Cliché characters and hokey dialogue. The hacking stuff however is nowhere near the level of idiot that was that one scene in NCIS with Abby and McGee typing on one keyboard, you remember that scene don't you guys?
