MG ancients are powered by the sodan?

the ancients in our galaxy and the pegasus are the same right? so wouldnt that mean that the good ancients be powered by the races of the pegasus galaxy and sodan because both do worship them.

Ah you are refering to how the Ori gain power from the worship of their followers. Guess the lodgic works that the Ancients would gain some kind of power from the sodan and the the peoples of the PG. But do they use it? I think that they have to willingly take the life force from the worshipers for the power to be gained, which is what I think the Ancients are against.

im pretty sure they dont enforce it but they must need it to keep the orii at bay, sheer numbers cant be enough to protect atleast 2 galaxys of such a great size.

The inhabitants of the PG and the MW don’t seem to really worship the ancients… more of a reverence thing… At least they don’t worship them with nearly the same intensity that the Orii’s followers worship the Orii.
Would Reverence be enough to give ascended beings more power? …

Indeed, plus i see it as a give and take like attitude. For their life force to be taken, the Ancients would have to want to take it. The Ori want it but they cant forcibly take it so they enforce the belief that others worship them or else.

I think that if the Ancients did use the worshiping power, as the Ori do, then they would probably have stepped in a while ago, not letting the Wraith feed upon where all there power comes from.

Even if the Ancients are worshipped, it is not to the same degree of the Ori worshipping. Inhabitants of the Milky Way and Pegasus Galaxies hardly lie prostrate and pray for hours, so any "life force" that could be generated from the Ancient worship would be minimal.

if the ori could get like lets say 50 units of power from 1 devout worshiper (dont they have celestis only?) the planet has lets say 2 million people (all speculation) it would be 100 million units of power. but in the milky way and pegasus galaxy (both are watched over by the same ascened beings) the MW has the sodan which are quite devout so id say maybe 2 thirds the orii folowers giving so thats about 33 units of power. the pegasus galaxy have countless planets that were started worshiping the ancients/ ascended ancients so thats maybe about 30% of the orii worshipers power but its still alot.

so in conclusion to keep the orii from coming in to this galaxy, the ascended must be relying on numbers and limited taking of the power to keep the orii away.

Except it goes against the Ascended Ancients belief of non-interference which was placed so that no Ascended would impede the growth of a younger species by gaining their worship. The people of the MW most seem to be hardly unaware of the Ascended Ancients (i mean they have been dominated by the goa'uld for so long) and the people of Pegasus seem to revere them not worship them. Reverance ione would show to a great enlightened elder type attitude.
