Wow, and I thought T3 was the castration of the series.
"A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in. Good people do things for other people. That's it, the end." -- Penelope Wilton in Ricky Gervais's After Life
I've always thought that they should have stopped after the first film, but if they produced a television series that started where T3 left off, detailing the war against the machines, and recaptured the grittiness of the original Terminator's future combat scenes, I'd be willing to give the series a chance.
"There is simply no other choice than this: either to abstain from interference in the free play of the market, or to delegate the entire management of production and distribution to the government. Either capitalism or socialism: there exists no middle way."
-Ludwig von Mises
What a horrible idea! I want to see the Terminator War!!!
Couldn't agree more. They finally put the time travel/Arnorld saga to rest and acknowledged in T3 that the war was never meant to be prevented, it's impossible. So the only alternative is to go into a new trilogy without Arnold focusing all on the future war with the machines. Anything else is wasting the story they set up.
A series set between T2 and T3, involving them being on the run. Well you can't have any Terminator action, it would have been metioned in T3 and you can't really have any other sci-fi related things because it just wouldn't feel right.
