    Lego BSG and Viper

    Lego BSG and Viper

Christopher Deck posted some step by step instructions with pictures on how to build your own lego Battlestar Galactica and Viper.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

      Hi,

If you're after a MKII viper, you could do a LOT worse than the one from the Starshipmodeler store - http://www.starshipmodeler.com/cfsto...Product_ID=368

It's in 1/72 scale, so it's pretty small, but it's an excellent little kit. Additionally, in my experience the service from SSM is second to none for online retailers - They'll keep you apprised of what's going on, send you an e-mail when it's ready (it's currently out of stock - I just ordered the last one ), and most importantly - unlike some other small retailers I've dealt with, they won't ask for a penny until they have the kit in hand and ready to go. Starshpmodeler also have their own boards - there are plenty of people on there who will happily sing the praises of the service of the store.

There's also a larger 1/48 scale kit available from http://scifimodels.com/sfmmkits.html - I haven't dealt with these guys before, so I don't know what the service is like.

I was thinking about building a large technic lego style Galactica a few months ago, but now I think I'm going to do it. The sets I have contain enough peices where I could build one half the size of my body, and I could easily motorize the thing so the "wings" retract before the ships goes FTL.

All I need is the spare time....
