Looks like Gateworld has been Hacked.

I'm posting this at 1:35pm EST on Wed Oct 12th 2005.

Don't know if it's been noticed yet. A reminder to everyone that once TPTB do notice it, they'll probably post updates at http://www.gatewordalphasite.com

Hope this gets fixed quickly.

I got something weird too around 1:30 p.m. est. Tried to get into GW mainpage and got a white screen with "spykids. . ." something or other. Don't remember the whole sequence.

At of 2:05 p.m. the page came up.

Goofy net.

It's working fine for me. I went to the site, it loaded fine, except the image are gone!!!!

Damn does this suck!!!

Hacked, but they didn't touch the site at all. Just uploaded an alternate default page. Everything is back to normal now.

Greg and I will find an appropriate solution involving knuckles and a ballpeen hammer.

yea really! do they get some kind of kick out of it? ugh, that's really annoying. i've had people hack into my instant messaging screen name before and that was bad enough! it would be aweful if it happened to my website.
