You would think with all the technology with Tivo and DVR that it would register those who record it or watch it numerous times and that would help the ratings.

You would think with all the technology with Tivo and DVR that it would register those who record it or watch it numerous times and that would help the ratings.

Nielsen is actually counting TIVo as a separate rating category, and I believe USA Today is reporting the TIVo ratings.

Supposedly, there are several different companies working on becoming competitors to Nielsen to provide more accurate US TV ratings, but Nielsen has been around a long, long, long time and buried more than one upstart competitor.
