So, I know in the correct (ie. production) order this episode was not the last...but was it aired last? The end of this episode has the strong feeling of being the farewell to the show.

It was the episode they were filming when they foundout that the show had been axed, so the last scene was really then saying goodbye to the show. Also this is one of the episodes that were never aired originaly on FOX.

JANICE: Dr. Bob, you've given this hospital a bad name.
DR BOB: You're right. Fred is a terrible name for a hospital. I'll give it a better name. How 'bout Eunice?

          A blessed shame really...
This is one of my favourites... it's very dark in places but had a lot of nice "family" moments... not to mention the Jayne Hat...

It was a dark episode, but I still enjoyed it. I had to laugh at Jayne's hat as I am into knitting myself and sometimes things come out looking hideously stupid.

I personally jumped whenever Tracey/Tracy screamed when Simon was starting the autopsy. What was even funnier is my husband jumped when he watched it after I had already seen it (love sitting back and watching his reaction).

Also loved the ice planet scene with River and especially her comment to Simon that he was such a boob.

Ye, this episode was really fun, Simon just isnt down with the women. But the last scene, the music was excellent.

You're right; Simon is totally clueless about women. And yes, the music was wonderful with the snow...

I've often thought that the Jayne hat had some resemblance to the Jayne disguise in Jaynestown...

Jayne's such a boy... isn't he? Underneathe all that bravado and apparent machismo... he's still just mummy's boy.

Hey you guys ever listen to the comentary. It has jewel staite, and alan tyduk. Sorry if I spelt them wrong. They are really interesting. It was the last episode they shot according the comentary, and alan stole apart of the bridge when they said they were done shooting, but they needed to do a reshot, and the part was gone. I also like when alan, and nathan did the one of war stories. It was also a great commentary.
Nathon: "The Jyane spounge bathing scene was cut."
Alan: "Yes halfway through production. He started to shave his back, and..."

a little darker than other episodes but i still enjoyed the episode. i liked that they could have darker moments and then throw in some comedy, like jaynes hat and asking zoe and mal why they'd ordered a dead body.
