Any deletions are now history, and not taken in any way personally by any mods who deleted them.

I can go look if you're serious, but I'd keep that to pm.PM away!

I'll also have to defer to you on which FS character to install as an avatar. It's been ages since I last had time to watch much FS or other fave shows aside from DW,so my memory's not great on who's who.

It's done now, and that's the rules, I have no issues.

Done and dusted, I'm just accepting some cupability.

They were Lexx characters, perhaps a little bit to raunchy for GW
    Especially Zev.
I'm a Story fan, not a series fan (they just help) SG-1 and SGA got my attention because they were fun little shows who told decent stories sometimes, more like 80's storytelling (90's got more focussed).
I like stories, what can I say?

Righto,GF! ( re the rules and posts.)

Ah! I thought my memory had shut down on FS.Now I know the show you were referring to,all I can say is that I can't remember much about Lexx either, because I only ever saw one ep from maybe S3 and then it turned out the show wasn't renewed after S4 and I've never caught up.

Piqued my curiosity so I've been looking for any Lexx details.
We have at least two Lexx threads here.Look in advanced search and in the tag search box, type in the show name.

Only snag is that pics seem to be gone, blurred out or there are blank spaces. That's probably because Photobucket and other sites went from free to fees-please.

Lexx is a German/US collaboration, it's damn near semi porn!!
There is also a pornstar going by the name of Zev Bellringer, which would not help a friendly PG search for the show.
    Again, not exactly GW friendly.
It was an intelligent scifi show, but it's more in the realm of say Tru Blood rather than your average scifi show.
Once more, the vehicle to tell the story is seen as more important than the story itself.

It seems obvious I only saw a more PG-13 ratable episode and clips years ago!

No point closing those threads because there seem to be valid discussions in there, but I won't be googling for the images,(esp hers!).Definitely not GW friendly...and TY for the info.

Tru Blood and even Buffy and Angel could be a bit over the lines on adult stuff or gore, for average kid-friendly viewing at times, but as you say, the intelligent scifi elements and stories were (and still are) the big draw.

This might be a weird question but is there a Thank The Mods thread somewhere or should I make one ? Just reading this thread alone shows me how much anger is vented towards you guys instead of thanks for what you do. so for my part, THANK YOU MODS

So as it said in the forum vision post for 2020 that there will be threads for new members, are there any plans to have some members who would volunteer assigned as "newbie guides"?

What I mean by that is that those people would maybe go to the profiles of new people after they made like 1 or two posts and say welcome to the forum and can be asked by new members about general things around the board and maybe even report trouble they have to mods on their behalf if a new member is too shy to do that on their own?

    Hi Az'ryel!
There'll be a few new threads opened up just as soon as we decide which ones need it most.
(Lately we've had a lot on the to-do list and not enough time to get through everything regarding all the changes, section moves and software checks and repairs, so bear with us,everyone!)

Consider yourself more or less inducted as a newbie guide. There are others who've kindly volunteered,so you won't be alone when the time comes to roll out the welcome wagon.

Hey! What was wrong with the barbecue we had for newbies in Off-Topic? Granted, FH burned them occasionally, but at least we didn't have to worry about getting mad cow or anything else from them, and they got a warm welcome to say the least.

Anywho... I bring forth a privacy error which has been popping up again:

    Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from forum.gateworld.net (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more

    NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

    [clicked advanced info]

forum.gateworld.net normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to forum.gateworld.net this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be forum.gateworld.net, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit forum.gateworld.net right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

I would like to add that sometimes, I get the information that the connection is not totally secure. It says so when clicking on the symbol next the site URL which is a lock for total secure sites. That is, as Chrome tells me a way for attackers to trick me with replacing images I see

    Good luck!

Perhaps I should mention that after each time the error appears I have to go back to the main site and then click onwards to the forum. It's the truly the weirdest thing.

Firefox has reported random unsecured page errors on random threads for a while. This particular thread does throw the error, but the parent thread is fine. This particular thread says "parts of this page are not secure (such as images)"
