you know.... getting to see a real leader on the show who actually oversees that stuff is pretty awesome, beyond that, the show has a great theme going, and while i disagree with choices of the episode, overall i like it... but i feel like.... i feel like it could have had a second part.... what... a second part could have been cool where we actually end up seeing what caused the bugs to sorround them and prevent the gate from opening, and they are brought to another world because the gates destination is hijacked and routed to a nearby planetary moon, and we get a cool backstory on some random stuff etc..

but this episode isnt a normal episode, its a salute to the training grounds and the military cadets that become the officers and soldiers and operaters that keep everything working, and for that it is brilliant

    Shooting error 1:
When the three scientist comes back in the bushes at 22:22, you can see a passing car on the right :

    Shooting error 2:
They have reused the gas giant from the Fire and Water episode :

Saw the car but it's like the car in the background of a Firefly episode -- a small oopsies.

Reusing backdrops is not uncommon, and saves money.

Another quite nice mistake from this episode :

Sam and Hailey swapped position after arriving through the stargate.

It could have been the start of a body-swap episode... but alas someone just got their rights and lefts confused.
