They served their duties even though one of them didn't survive long enough to make a conciderable difference. A toast to the Prometheus and Korelev. CLINK.

Post Prometheus and Korelev glory and destruction shots at will.

          Season 10
          Spoiler:
You guys have it the other way around. Korelev gets whacked and Odyssey survives. You see Korelev explode in Camelot. How can the Odyssey appear in 1001 if it's destroyed.

Elsewhere, the Earth ship Odyssey squares off against a group of Goa'uld motherships under the control of the Lucian Alliance, a group of criminals that have banded together to fill the power vacuum left by the Goa'uld ("The Ties That Bind"). The ship is damaged and key systems are offline, including the hyperdrive and the Asgard transporter. The Asgard Vasir works to repair it.

Carter radios the Ori ships in the hopes of contacting any survivors of the Korelev, an Earth ship apparently destroyed by the Ori (probably how Daniel wound up on board). Daniel finds his radio and responds, assuring Sam that he made it okay. He and Vala hope to zat Adria and capture her. (GateWorld news report)

              Spoiler:
Yeah, their first intersteller warship is destroyed before she was a year old!!

              Just wondering...
Could the reason that the Korolev was destroyed because it was rushed into serivce? Daniel said it wasn't due for another year, so during it's construction, things might have been left out, and equipment might not have been completely tested/operational?

              Again just wondering.

actually, if you watch the explosion of the 304 in camelot again, you only see the front of the ship explode. The explosion fully eclipses the view of the rear of the ship, and no second explosion is seen to indicate that the aft end also blew.

So potentially, niether ship was trully destroyed, though one at the least will need massive rebuilding.

Certainly wouldn't be easy, and maybe not even worth the effort. But it would help explain how some of the people on the ship were able to survive that blast. Both the bridge and hanger bays are far enough aft to potentially have survived.

And I'm not saying the stern of the ship did survive, only that there is the remote possibility.

Nothing seems to have survived though.
