Finnish Star Trek spoof, Star Wreck: In The Pirkinning

    http://www.cinematical.com/2005/08/3...ss-star-wreck/

C-3P0 had R2-D2, and fan film god Shane Felux, the mastermind behind the much-ballyhooed, fan-produced Star Wars micro-epic, Revelations, now has an overseas counterpart: Finnish sci-fi nut Samuli Torssonen. Torssonen created and produced the space parody, Star Wreck: In The Pirkinning, the FX-heavy, feature-length Star Trek and Babylon 5 spoof which is on a strategic mini-tour of Finland and due for a DVD release later this year. In the spirit of fan films, it will also be available later this year as a free download on the movie's website, which presently hosts the film's trailer.

It's been around a while, but it's a lot of fun. You can even get the remastered version on DVD, released by Universal Pictures. For copyright reasons they had to change the ships somewhat so they aren't exact copies of the originals. But yeah, I'm definitely a fan, I have both the original and the imperial edition on DVD. Of course, it's even better for us who speak the language...

Yup. With professional actors and hopefully a professional distribution too. Iron Sky certainly looks cool based on the trailer.
