Going the distance
He plays a character trapped in a distant galaxy in Stargate: Atlantis, and for Jason Momoa’s fiancée – McLeod’s Daughters star Simmone Jade Mackinnon – it must often feel like he really is that far away.
Stargate: Atlantis shoots in Vancouver, Canada, on the other side of the world from the McLeod’s set in Gawler, north of Adelaide. “I do get lonely,” Simmone admits.
When either Simmone or Jason gets a break, they fly across the ocean to be by their partner’s side. But with both having major roles in the demanding shows, it’s not nearly as often as they'd like. Simmone says it’s particularly hard when they hit the three-month mark.
