In my opinion, the best casting for a villain that Hollywood ever did was Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates in "Psycho'". Before that, Perkins had been a romantic lead. Nobody could believe that sweet, handsome, kind Anthony Perkins was slashing Janet Leigh. From that point on in his career, he played homicidal maniacs. So, we need someone who doesn't look, act or talk like a villain. Some nice guy that we trust. Tom Hanks? Harrison Ford? Russel Crowe? Say, how about Woody Allen?

These villains have to be the most uncharismatic villains ever created for a science fiction show.
