Another theory about the Ori

I was just contemplating: if the Ori were founded by (or joined by) one (or more) of the Ancients who returned home from Atlantis (which seems likely if they are the same species), then perhaps that Ancient is also the one who created the mysterious sickness/halucination/death thing in the Atlantis episode Hot Zone. Perhaps his experiments on atlantis were attempts to create a selective disease that would only target unbelievers.

Anyway, just another crazy ideer.

Only problem with that theory is that the Ori did not know of the existence of humans in the MW galaxy before the Daniel and Vala used the ancient communications terminal. Had one of the returning ancients joined the Ori how could they not know there was an entire galaxy teeming with humans?

good point, but it is still possible that the nano-virus is connected to the Ori. Perhaps the guy who created the virus was sentenced to death, and ascended while being burned at the stake (or some other, more ancient-like death penalty involving fire). He could have founded the Ori that way.

Wow! Ori and Ascended wraith?! Maybe it's possible but probably not.The Wraith need us like a food.And the Ascended beens need eat too.[8x18 - Threads].If that's right it'll be interesting if it is not Atlantis team will have new problems and probably new enemies ...

Wraith only came to existent when Ancients got to pegaues galaxy. That was wayyyyyyy after Alterren's split with the Ori.
