when i think of classic quality sci- fi three names pop into my head, Stargate, Star Trek, and Star Wars. all of the are established global hits but star wars and star trek have something the stargate doesnt have (atleast to my knowledge)............. A Name behind it. who is the original mastermind who came up with Stargate? George Lucas and gene rodenberry arer heroes in the sci-fi community, but who is stargates icon?

Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich came up with the original concept, then Gecko (RDA and Greenberg's) production company ran with the idea, when offered by Showtime. Also M and M have been in on it since the beginning.....so take your pick.
