Those SG impersonaters were kind of... blah, just sense my negativity towards them. I liked the episode though
Amanda, "Wallow Central."
I agree. The Intars are definately a clever idea. It's also nice to see them pop up in later eps. Too many bits of tech. appear once, then disappear.Originally Posted by bcmilco
I also agree with your assessment of the ep., good but not great.
Intars. Short for? Intar. Funny exchange, Especially in light of Jack shortening of Zat'nik'atel and Teal'c's of Tacunitamguinwhateverthehellitwas. Refreshing change to have a Goa'uld tech that you could say the whole thing without it sounding weird.Originally Posted by SeaBee
They SG-X teams weren't very faithful though were they? They see Apophisis die and they accept it? Where were the cries of "Forgery"?

Not a great episode but it did introduce some cool goa'uld tech... like in'tars.

One of the best eps in Season 3....
Maybe i'm just an action junkie...
Action is goooooooooood.
Aye definatly... Its probabaly why i didnt greatly enjoy S3... Not by far the most action packed season...
I did like this episode. Seeing them training in combat
I found plenty to like :Rogers,Nelson, the whole thing between Teal'c and Jack, where Teal'c got the chance to call Jack "Underling" and the problem of proving Apophis was dead .
Loved the Tuna sandwich scene !
The place to "Gate" to during Outages for updates and info:
That whole "invasion fo the tau'ri" thing has been cancelled due to........rain.
I liked this episode by no means one of the best ever by a good solid one. IMHO of course.

Believe it or not, this is the only episode ever aired (including It's Good to Be King) that I have never seen. I just always missed it in re-runs.
I just saw it, and loved it. It makes me shed a tear for the 'ol Stargate, boy I home they make some of those TV movies set in season 2.
Shep: I can't hear you threatening to suck the life out of me 'til you hit the button on the radio.
Soldier (In Russian): Are you Russian spies?
Daniel: What? He asked if we were Russian spies and I said no........oh.
My Dad told me something the other day which made me think of this episode. He says that in the Cold War era there were entire villages and towns in the USSR which were mock-ups of English towns, where all the road-signs and achitecture and everything were english and where trainee spies could walk into the pub and ask for a pint of the usual and chat about Preston North End's chances in the cup this year or whatever.
Nothing is new under the sun, it seems! But it's funny to think that Apophis was just re-doing what the russians used to do.
Carter in full combat gear, camo paint and all is a win in my book
Intars are sweet.
This ep reinforces the fact about how horribly the Goa'uld rule. Apophis has been dead for awhile and yet people are still training to fight for him. They are so willing they will die for him and ironically he is already dead.
I love the line when Tea'lc goes "this is colonel O'Neill he is much loved by Apophis" the look on Jack's face is funny
"No Buzz I AM your Father" Zurg Toy Story 2
"I'll level with you Bob My names not Kirk it's Skywalker Luke Skywalker" O'Neill 1969
I liked this episode too. I thought their camp was made to look a lot like MASH, expecially the flagpole with the stones around it.
