If we lowly humans from Earth, could clone Goa'uld symbiotes, (we even managed to splice Goa'uld DNA with human) why can't the 'great' Tok'ra do something like that??? Heck, they could (or could have) cloned their Queen Egeria once they had gotten her back. So why don't they??? After all, they are in a crisis of possibly dying out as a race... If it were me, I would.

Tok'ra clones...
The success or failure of your deeds, does not add up to the sum of your life. Your spirit cannot be weighed! Judge yourself by the intentions of your actions, and by the strength with which you faced the challenges that have stood in your way. The Universe is so vast, and we are so small, there is only truly one thing we can control; whether we are good or evil... -Oma Desala

Might be possible but it just seems a little too easy, if that was all it took then the Tok'ra would have done it themselves.
Maybe if they cloned Egeria she would be cloned with all the knoledge of her sire who was a Goa'uld so she would be "evil" unless she made a special effort like the original did.
Or maybe the Tok'ra would consider cloning an insult to Egeria's memorysigpic

Maybe... but given the choice between having my sense of honor hurt a bit, or having my entire race wiped out... I'd choose have my sense of honor rubbed the wrong way. I guess it just depends on how desperate they are to survive. I don't know... maybe the writers just hadn't thought of it yet, or something. It can't be that difficult if we did it, can it?? I'd think not. As to possibly being evil, from whichever symbiote they cloned it, the new clone would have those memories. If it were Egeria, it would be sort of like having woke up from a long nap. She'd feel like Egeria, because she'd have all Egeria's memories. Same as if they did it with another symbiote too.

i think its more or less because they can't find hosts for the symbiotes. which is why they wanted to become allies with earth. so it would not matter how many symbiotes they have they need the hosts for themDuct tape is like the Force. The problem is that by killing off Jacob TPTB have killed off the last Tok'ra the fans know/care/trust. But then again maybe the new Tok'ra shouldn't be from earth i.e. someone who doesn't have a world/family to return tosigpic
