I love that coat! It reminds me the the long duster coats the "cowboys" wore, back in the "bang bang, shoot 'em up" days, of the old West.

And, he does look very good in it, guess his height helps.

Good point, but we haven't seen anything that even remotely looks like a horse in SGA, in season 1.

Think he'd ride the "yak" creature they used in the movie?

Uh, yeah, Tyr had leather pants too. Google an image of TYR from ANDROMEDA and lo and behold, you'll see who they copied off to make Dex....

Ahem, cough cough. I mean, right down to the dreadlocks. and leather wrist things....

TPTB may have gone for a "Tyr-like" persona, hoping that few people watched "Andromeda" and wouldn't notice. Fat chance of that happening around here.

But I think Ronon is different enough not to be compared to Tyr, especially once he starts interacting in an episode. And we do need someone in leather. None of the guys in the Stargate universe wear leather.
