Half man ,Half Ancient


In the myth of Roman and Greek,Many god have mortal children and walks among mortal,many of them have special abilities .
A few of the half breed were consider almost a full god or ascended to the rank of full god, like Hercules.

We know the Ancient return to Earth and probaby interacted with the Roman or Greek.And then Ascended.

What if those half man/Half God were actually children of the Ancient?
pre-Ascended Ancient and human had co-exist at the same period of time for a just a while.The rare Ancient gene probaby are the result of such union.

The Ancient can't take their half breed ******* children with them,Atlantis High council doesn't know about them.Their Ancient parent break a few rule and set them up in some place in secret.
they find a place and hide them ,give them the technologies and weapon.

So i wonder if any human colony in Pegasus are half breeds, if the colony started out with half breeds children and isolated with the outside world.Then they will be some sort of super human, with special abilities like Cassie when she was sick, like Jonas with special learning abilities .A new brunch of homo sapien , not as smart as the Ancient ,but smarter than most human.

The Ancients were humans, just more advanced humans. A half human and half Ancient = a human, not half god or whatever.

What about a human and a ascend Ancient, for parents? IMO, that would be more like Hercules, in Greek mythology.

Like you say Hercules, he was proballt the first level of cross, and this would slowlt be diluted to the present day ancient gene like Shepard.

Seems like the "ancient gene" is a single allele, not a cluster of genes that are "diluted" or not. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to use the retro-viral treatment to get McKay the ability to use Ancient tech.

Moreover, the Ancients we've seen in "un"-ascended state don't seem Godlike in the least. They have no extra stength (that would be Hercules), telekinetic, or other abilities. The idea that an Ancient would be Hercules or another warlord just doesn't seem to fit.

Now Merlin, Mentor, Medea, Circe, or other "magical" types would be less of a stretch, as their "magical" abilities could merely be an interpetation of technology by primitives.

Just because we haven't seen them use these abilities doesn't mean they don't have them. The only reason we are aware of their healing abilities is because of the SG-1 episode "Frozen." Maybe in future episodes we'll see more of the abilities non-ascended Ancients possessed.

I was wondering if Sheppard has the power to heal. IMO, his gene abilities are even greater than Jack's. (He doesn't even have to consentrait (sp) on flying the puddle jumper as Jack does.)

Jack only had the ability to heal when he had the Ancient database downloaded into his head. This implies that every human with the gene can heal people but they just don't know how. Even if Major Sheppard does have more natural control of his gene than Jack, it doesn't necessarily mean that he'll have the knowledge of how to use the abilities that come with it.

I would say the Half Human/Half something is possible but would doubt the other half was ancient. If the ancients were gone 10,000 years ago it wouldn't fit into Greek mytholgy. I would say it is more likely a Goa'uld or something new to us. Anything is possible!

Even linking the healing power to genetics, and not purely to knowledge, is an assumption.

Perhaps anyone and any being with the knowledge can heal. After all, just how much information do you think is packed into the one supergene?

well certian aspects of genetics/neuropsychology are making genes seem more and more important in regulating behaviour and thinking processes. A ancient gene that say allowed the person to have a calmer mind would allow them to think more clearly and logicallyt, leading to ascention (sp)

You just answered your own question. Since genetics plays no role in whether or not someone can ascend, it has nothing to do with the genetics of being an Ancient or related to an Ancient. However, genetics most certainly does play a role in whether or not someone has the natural abilities of an Ancient.
