What a huge let down it was for the blue aliens boarding the ship to be only some kind of hallucination. I was actually looking forward to it.
Currently watching: Dark Matter, 12 Monkeys, Doctor Who, Under the Dome, The Mentalist, The Messengers, The Last Ship, Elementary, Dominion, The Whispers, Extant, Olympus, Da Vinci's Demons, Vikings

Didn't expect the blue aliens boarding the ship in a hallucination. The promo advertised a scene of what seemed like a kick ass episode, but it was a worst one ever. Screw the promos next time. They will get a low freaking rating in return.

Oh I hope so, if not then I will be really annoyed.

Indeed, I doubt he would have left Earth to start with, starships or not, if that were the case. Which would have resulted in Rush, Young, Chloe and all the rest being blown up on Icarus. We can't have that.

This would make me forgive them for their sneaky trailer moment. And then some.

Eli's biggest fear would have been having to get a job, so his hallucination would have been having to get up and go to work. Young's would have been being stuck in a locked room with his wife and TJ....awkward!!

Doubt we have seen the aliens the last time. They are hell-bent on taking Destiny.

Um, did you actually watch the episode? Greer didn't shoot wray - Rush stabbed her (thinking she was a blue alien), and with a screwdriver, no less. Crazy Rush is dangerous!

Yes, she did re-experience that sense of loss of her father when the tick was removed, however, I think she was already prepared for that on some level.
Also, we have no idea about the long term impacts of the ticks. They had, obviously, been on them for a while. How bad could things have gotten? In Greer it was obvious that not only was he interacting with a hallucination that was 'added' to his view of reality but the active alteration of what was going on around him. Hearing the 'ok' to use deadly force instead of the stand down. How deep into hallucinations would things have gone?

The whole episode could have gone to a far deeper and darker place.

What scenes SHOULD we have seen, like Dr. Rush being dragged into the infirmiry, imagining the whole time he'd been retaken by the blue aliens and was about to be tortured again?

What would you have liked to see, in general?
Exactly that -- Rush being dragged to the infirmary and forced to have the tick removed, fighting all the way, convinced the aliens are going to torture him again - and Young forced to watch and face the consequences of what he did by abandoning Rush on that planet. Young still hasn't been really made to suffer the consequences.

And I'd bet that Young would have had some pretty interesting hallucinations -- I wonder what his would've been. His wife and TJ? The sense of failure and remorse re Rush? More paranoia like Greer's? Knowing that he's cracking up (as Louis Ferreira said that Young is aware of)? Something else?

Rush is a lot tougher and smarter than the military folks, esp. Greer, give him credit for. He got the drop on Greer and Wray there -- it was only the fact that he hallucinated that they were both aliens that led him to use the screwdriver on Wray instead of Greer. Rush could've taken Greer down there and he almost does again later when he attacks him with the crowbar. And he got Scott and a couple of other soldiers pretty good too. Bet he gave them a fight all the way until they got the tick off him and that there are a few military personal with some serious bruises from him. He's a fighter.

I was so disappointed we didn't get to see any of that.

Also, it seemed like we didn't get enough aftermath for Greer and Wray as well.

The one other thing I did like was Vanessa James giving Scott hell, even if she was hallucinating it. He deserved it.

But altogether, a rather disappointing episode. Rush was great, but Carlyle never gives a bad performance. And I was hoping for more interesting crazy behavior from Volker.
