I just read JM's commentary on "Ripple Effect," and he said DeLuis directed BSG-1 Sam & Cam to subtly imply that they're married to each other and have a child.
JM goes onto say that DeLuis misunderstood the script, and Sam was married to someone who was not Cam; and Cam was dating someone who was not Sam.
So who do you think JM envisioned as their respective partners?

"Most of our John Sheppard impressions sound more like a demented Jimmy Stewart than Joe Flanigan."

Sam is with Jack.
Cam is with the girl he had a crush on in high school ("Bounty").

I'd agree, but what about Mitchell's? JM wrote, "I had a lot of fun layering in subtle hints at the various AU relationships, and this was an opportunity to drop a clue about Mitchell and a certain someone-else. Unfortunately, in trimming the episode, the following exchange was lost for time."

Black #Daniel takes a sip. Green Mitchell settles in, taking the seat across from him.
GREEN MITCHELL: So, can I get you anything else? Something to eat?
Black Daniel sizes Green Mitchell up, considers, then tests him -
BLACK DANIEL: Know what I feel like? The ginger beef from Hunan House.
Clearly, Green Mitchell doesn't know what he's talking about.
BLACK DANIEL: Hunan House on Academy Boulevard? Your favorite Szechwan restaurant? The first place you and ...
GREEN MITCHELL: Me and ...?
BLACK DANIEL: Never mind. Check it out. I have a feeling you'll love it.
Also, reading the cut scenes, I can't help but think about how this was a fun episode that could have been one of the best had they kept in all of those deleted scenes, made it a two-parter, and had Jack commanding Janet's team. Sure Jack isn't a youngster, but firstly, "Jack" is as much as seven years younger than RDA considering he claimed to be forty in "Brief Candle." He also proved himself ridiculously combat-ready in "The Return," long after he'd retired to a desk job...
It strikes me as odd that Jack, or even Jonas for that matter, wouldn't be a member of any of the AU teams. Plus exploring an AU Jack and the AU Janet would warrant a double-feature at least as much as "Evolution" did.

i agree about jack!! he was all but forgotten...
was this dialog hinting at blackdaniel saying him and his blackmitchell was an item?
I suppose the excuse would be Carter & Dr. Lee determining that all of the SG-1s were coming from very close/similar universes. That doesn't really jibe with the Janet/Martouf team, considering they're both dead in the main universe. Heck, a Shep/McKay/Lorne/Jonas team should be closer, as they're all alive, and have backgrounds with the SGC...

That seems a possibility, somewhat of a stupid one since a major thread that held the Goa'uld arc together was Daniel's relationships with women--Sha're followed by Sarah.
Nevertheless, it was likely referring to either Daniel or Dr. Lam--she was featured more prominently in the script JM wrote before having to cut it for time...

Maybe something changed in their timeline that has them alive? But what would that be?

Daniel being better with a gun?
I suppose a catch-all would be if Martouf joined SG-1 prior to being captured & brainwashed so it never happened, and then Martouf being the one on SG-1 who took out the Jaffa who would've shot Janet on her last mission...
