Yeah, I watched it again recently, too. It's the one I can't seem to erase from my Ti-Faux!
Not deep, heavy on the arc, or advancing the Stargate world too much. Just pure fun. And I like that.
I think I especially like when Vala realizes that the ship they returned has secret compartments with "booty" inside and Daniel and Mitchell each wordlessly grab one of her arms and escort her out of the room. :-)
I found myself getting bored rather quickly with this ep.
It reminded me too much of a short story I read about a trader who needs a piece of equipment, and has to go through a long chain of trades and favours before he gets what he wants.
Vala became really grating after a while, and MS seems to be in a hurry to get off set. He is talking so fast in some places I am having difficulty understanding him.
I swear, every time I watch this ep, I enjoy it more and more. So many great comedic moments in it. All the crap they had to go through in it, all for nothing. You can't help but feel bad for them at the end. Of course, you can't help but laugh a bit either.

MS - "Boy, wow that's a great question!"
"...phu...ah..."
"Anyone know what SENTIENT means???"
Sunday is my favorite day for two reasons - Football and The Walking Dead
Watched the rerun tonight and it is just the second time I've seen this eppy. Have to admit I liked it much better this time around, probably because the first time I was still getting used to the new characters. Second time around, I know everyone and it works better.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was watching it earlier when it re-aired, and the entire episode just cracks me up. Hilarious.
I do not believe you are well. You called me... "Lucy"

So true! Now that we know the characters better, I enjoy their interactions and wordplay much more. These early S9 eps are much more fun the second time (or third!) time around. I especially enjoyed the Daniel-Mitchell banter more, because the Daniel-Vala interactions kinda overpowered the other moments on first watching.
not sure if this has been mentioned (it would have taken ages to search through all the posts) but i noticed something i hadn't before when watching this the other day.
Early in the ep, Mitchell and Lam are getting out of the elevator when landry comes up to them. first of all Mitchell is doing up his shirt (probably coincidental cuz that would be a really cheap hint) but then landry gives mitchell the strangest look as he walks off. Watching tha scene again it seems like they are trying to suggest at something between mitchell and Lam.
And i am not at all ashipper so let me just say to any writers out there (i know, they don't read this )...if you're thinking of doing this...
PLEASE DON'T!!!
anyone else notice?

Yeah, it was discussed. My interpretation is that Mitchell and Lam were talking in the elevator. When they saw Landry, Mitchell, who seems very aware of military protocol, felt he was "undressed" because his top button was unbuttoned - so he proceeded to button it. Landry was wondering why Mitchell and Lam were talking and somehow got it in his head that they would be a good match, so he looked back and forth between them, hoping 'something' was there. Lam's exasperated look told me that that wasn't the first time Daddy tried to influence his daughter's dating partners. Also, early rumors of season 9 said that
Spoiler:
Lam and Mitchell had a romantic past. Perhaps the writers wanted Beau to play the scene as if Landry felt there were sparks between Mitchell and Lam to lay the groundwork for some future interactions. However, it appears that they dropped that storyline.
