The Quest Part 2 Full Summary for the Ship Family! MAJOR SPOILERS!

The Quest Part 2

Previously on Stargate: Brief recap of The Quest Part 1.

The dragon fires a fireball but Adria extends her shield to cover them. They escape into a passageway and are chased by the dragon’s fire. They escape out of the caves but the dragon is following them into the field. The team line up and fire at it but it has no effect. They head into the trees. Daniel suggests they say the name but Ba’al admits he doesn’t have it. There are various suggestions (Teal’c suggests Puff).

Sam notes the P90 had no effect; Mitchell suggests a C4 bomb. He is about to make the running to throw it at the dragon when he is stopped by Teal’c who runs and throws the bomb into the dragon. Sam detonates but it has no effect. Daniel works out the name is the name of the Guardian not the dragon; Vala runs out to shout Morgan Le Fey at it, closely followed by Daniel who knows it is Morgan’s name in Ancient that is the complete right answer.

They head back to the Sangraal but it is still a hologram but it does initiate a transporter which takes everyone but Adria to a secret chamber. Sam finds Merlin in a stasis pod. Teal’c notes it is similar to the one Jack was in. Vala finds an Ancient repository device. The pod is deactivated and they carry Merlin to a bench. He is still unconscious. Sam, Teal’c, Ba’al and Mitchell look around and find they have been transported to another planet but the Stargate doesn’t work. Merlin wakes up; he calls Sam as Guinevere and Daniel as Galahad. He calls Ba’al, Mordred.

Adria, meanwhile, is still back on the first planet and tells the Prior to burn the village as they will not accept Origin.

Daniel begins to tell Merlin what has happened as the others explore the cave including his own Ascension. Merlin knows Oma. Merlin warns them that they face more challenges than what they have faced to date. He activates a control a bit like the Ancient repository and starts to piece something together. He collapses. Teal’c contacts Sam and Mitchell to see the outside. They have been transported to another planet. Sam begins to work on the DHD.

Merlin talks with Daniel and Vala; he talks about his lives. He says he is too old but Daniel encourages him to continue, noting he must know what is at stake. He takes the control again and cryptically wishes Daniel good luck. The device suddenly has an energy surge and Merlin dies. Ba’al notes his voice has come back with Merlin’s demise. ‘Another reason to mourn his passing.’ Teal’c notes. Sam tells Mitchell that Ba’al is good with dialling programmes and maybe if they work together they have a chance of getting off the planet.

As Ba’al and Sam try to fix the DHD, Daniel and Vala remain in the cave with Merlin. Daniel works out that Merlin has put the information into the Ancient repository and steps up to the device. Vala radios for help and Mitchell goes. Daniel has collapsed. They are transported to another planet. Daniel wakes up and he tells them he has two sets of memories in his head. He tells Mitchell he really does look like Percival. He takes the control and starts to piece together the Sangraal.

Adria is chasing them finding the first two planets. She notes she is finding their locations quicker at every turn.

Ba’al dismisses Sam’s idea that the location programme is in the obelisk. She asks if he’s dismissing her idea because she’s a human or she’s a woman. It tells her a little of both. She goes to check it out.

In the cave, Daniel has developed telekinesis powers but has the first stage of the weapon done. They mention Jack again! (Vala calls him Jack as though they’ve met before and know each other). Mitchell and Vala are worried about Daniel given Jack’s previous experiences with the repositories.

Sam hits Ba’al when he won’t help her and tells him that all things considered if he won’t help, he’s not worth keeping alive. He agrees to help.

Daniel finishes the second stage. He is confused thinking he is Merlin. Vala and Mitchell manage to reach him. Even though Vala protests that they might lose him, he steps up to the control. Mitchell and Vala fight over whether Daniel should be allowed to take the risk of finishing the weapon or losing his life. Mitchell notes the hard part of being part of the team is not risking your own life, it’s watching your friends risk theirs; ‘Congratulations. Now you really are one of us.’

Sam and Ba’al have found the location programme and are about to shut it down when Adria finds the planet and begins dialling it. Daniel tells Mitchell to get to the gate. The incoming wormhole activates and the team start to take fire. They manage to take down a wave of soldiers although Ba’al is shot. Adria transports into the cave. Daniel uses his abilities to destroy the Ori soldiers with lightening; Adria throws him out of the cave. Vala tries to stop Adria but she is about to fire on them when Daniel springs back up. He holds her off (to the protests of the team) while the others escape through the gate but eventually collapses.

Back at the SGC, a distraught Vala notes they need to find him. Sam notes they have a lot of planets to check. Vala says they need to do something as she whirls out to leave clearly very upset. Mitchell tells her Adria probably kept Daniel alive because of the intel he holds. On an Ori ship, Daniel tells Adria he has a headache but that he no longer has the information. She tells him to rest; he will need it. Fade out.

I'm off to write my usual review but I will say about The Quest (spoilers ahead)

that it was a very good episode - a 100% improvement on the first part. They mentioned Jack several times (although it seemed everybody BUT Sam mentioned him.)

Teal'c got to be a hero...Sam got to hit Ba'al...there was conflict and drama...ahem...did I mention it was a good episode?

I don't think it is The Shroud next week...I think there are a couple of episodes before we hit The Shroud.

yep i liked it too that people mentioned him, but it was first of all weird that Sam didn't do it...didn't liked that...but i can live with it for now

And indeed great episode....Teal'c was also great, love the guy

Hi guys quest pt2 SPOILERS to follow:

Very funny ep. Teal'c naming the dragon "Puff" was priceless LOL.
Sam's right hook on Baal, was fantastic I cheered!!
Jack even gets talked about yay!
Daniel gets Merlyns (sp?) memories and has to fight Adreia (sp?) ends up on an Ori ship
Vala worries about Daniel and gets pulled though gate by Mitchell
And lots of Jackisms from Sam(they are SO married IMO) LOL
all in all great ep.

As I watching the quest part two, I just said they are so married, as it was that obvious!
