I believe it's now about some multimillionaire and some naive college student (who's still a virgin) and he introduces her into the world of BDSM, or something like that. I'm sure there should be a plot around there somewhere too but that's what I've gleaned from all the different reviews I've read. That's probably why it's referred to as 'mommy porn' but a lot of reviewers said they'd been curious about the hype and then started reading it but even the sex scenes were boring and repetitive, so they ended up glossing over them and then... well, there wasn't much left.

As for friends and fanfic; a lot of my friends know I write it and a few even know the show. Another one, who isn't really into sci-fi (more romcoms) looked at me funny when she saw my DVD box set and asked if that "isn't that a boys show?". I must have stared at her for a bit because I couldn't believe something like that was actually coming from her and then I kindly explained that "no, L, there aren't gender restrictions on television shows". At least she had the decency to look sheepish about it.

Oh and most of my family knows about me writing it too (thanks to my mother, who tells everyone, even her coworkers) but luckily they feel their English isn't good enough to actually try and read it. My sister probably could but I've told her she wouldn't get it since she doesn't know the show (and doesn't like sci-fi).

I haven't heard anything about this and now I'm kinda worried since some of my M-rated stories are more of, eh... MA-rating, but I haven't had any complaints, despite FFnet not really having an MA-rating.

What kind of infractions are we talking about here? Lack of disclaimers? Poor writing skills? Or are they having accounts deleted for leaving a few too many flames?
