August 2nd - Local filmmaker John Bolton has plenty of reasons to smile. His short film Breakdown was recently nominated for four Canadian Comedy Awards -- best director, best writer, best actress (Amanda Tapping, Stargate SG1) and best actor (Winston Rekert*, Neon Rider). It will be shown at the outdoor Harmony Arts Festival in John Lawson Park in North Vancouver at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 11

I wasn't at Comic con but I think the free download code was so people could download for free the first webisode in HD or SD rather than watching on Squnity vision via youtube.

Can someone who was at COmic con confirm please.

It was a Canon Digital Rebel XT with a telephoto lens while sitting in the front row and using a monopod (well, it was a tripod, but I didn't open it up, so it was functioning as a monopod).

I need to get me one of those...my digital camera is not very friendly to me!!

OMG!!!! That was fabulous...well worth hubby coming into the bedroom to bop me around the ears for laughing so loudly and disturbing the peace in the house...holy moses that was funny...that poor fella though...I couldn't boo him like that...I loved the responses from Chris, Amanda and Ben...I've decided that I'm Not going to sing to Amanda at AT4...I couldn't stand the humiliation of being boo-ed off like that...poor bloke!! ROFL. I was thinking about that this morning, actually. We went birthday shopping and I remembered how I was gutted about birthday shopping last year because I was tied to my computer on Celeeb!

I remember that I was putting my insomnia to good use and staying up until all hours voting.

Life is too short...last week was the third anniversary of the loss of David's nanna, yesterday the third anniversary of my dad in laws death and next week the third anniversary of my Oma's passing...we lost three members of our family in less than 3 weeks 3 years ago...think I might go buy a lottery ticket tomorrow!
