Okay I just rewatched that part and no she didn't mention any "perky parts" just that it was so cold in the studio you could see your breath (that's breath Sal not breast )

Well these kinds of things *are* kind of silly. Unless of course we get her to #1 in which case they are *totally* meaningful. No, seriously it would be great for AT to see another indication of all the support she has. What can I say? AT is the best.

It's a bit like the heal and hurt game or the character tournaments here. Maybe they don't mean much, but I still like seeing Sam and Amanda win.

Something I didn't like, was RCC making reference to there being nothing better than a great evil villain, especially one who's a beautiful woman (at which point they had a cleavage shot) ... and I just thought, GOD, you really can't seem to get around where his headspace is at. It's not even the fact that he said that (hey, Replicarter is a great evil villain too, and we all just finished talking about how 'hot' she is), but it's the fact that for RCC, he doesn't have any other kind of commentary to give. He just seems to keep hammering that and hammering that "sex" perspective into almost all the interview bits I've seen him do. Like everything he writes and everything he applauds has to be about that. It's obviously a big deal to him. And that's just so.... arrgh.... eyerollworthy to me.

when i met her, i went all babbly.

and i completely ignored poor don s davis! thank heavens my mom was there to occupy him while i fangirled at amanda.

i'm just remembering this moment... after i'd gotten amanda's autograph, i stayed around there and watched everyone else get theirs. but i was right up front (and amanda could see me)! but when the autogs were over, and amanda was getting up to leave... she looked right at me and thanked me by name!!

i always wanted to let amanda know what that moment meant to me. so, if you're reading amanda... thank you for making me feel special.

*how can someone NOT love that woman?!?*

oh i actually liked pete for the first 20 minutes. then i just felt that he started to show a controlling nature. i actually feel that sam felt pressured into inviting him into her house in the first place, that she wasn't ready to take that step but he was pushing her a little so she thought why not. she has a problem with failing, and to fail at a relationship because she wasn't ready to take it further or because she and/or he felt she couldn't commit or whatever might have been a factor in her not wanting to reject him again even though she didn't seem quite ready for that next step. and that again seems a little out of character for sam. i wouldn't like to think she'd give in to that kind of pressure so quickly.

this to me was the first real sign of the writers (or maybe one writer) making sam into what they want her to be. it seems to me that certain writers feel that its ok to treat women this way, to demean and weaken them and that its ok and its how women either are or should be. and i never had this kind of problem with stargate until season 7. and even then it was just occasional until season 9.

i'll shut up now, because i can psychoanalyse chimera to death!

I wondered that as well. Why couldn't Pete have just been a good guy that she relax with and have fun with (movies, dancing--no saving the world) but who just wasn't going to work out long term without making him such a jerk in the end. I know they wanted to give her a love interest who didn't die, but jeepers, couldn't they have done better? And no, Sal, I'm not talking about Jack.

You know what? I want a sexy, skin-revealing, well endowed male super villian to counterbalance - I dunno ... Of course they are silly and meaningless, but you know what? It still shows our support. It still unites us as fans AND it gives us all a morale booster for at least a few days. Which is something we all have really needed for the past year, so my feeling is vote till your hearts content. If nothing else it may get one or two people to actually go up on IMDB.com or google.com and type in 'Amanda Tapping' to find out who this person is, and maybe just maybe one of them will join us in our adoration of Amanda.
