Well, the AF advisor has never been too concerned with the accuracy when it comes to the medals. Jacob who was a Major General only had five in Secrets. Of course, they were pretty impressive ones like the Legion of Merit and the Distinguished Flying Cross - but still...Sam now has more than her father did.
And as for Jack... he had more medals than anyone else (except for Hammond), even though he was just a Colonel.
But I agree... Sam should have more.
yeah, well they also had jack with viet nam medals...which he was too young to get originally
I was just watching S6's 2001 (on tape ) and I thought it was a pretty good Sam episode. You get Scientist Sam explaining things to a room full of diplomats as well as base personell. You get Sam having to make a decision to do something Hammond tells her he can't order her to do. You have sodleir Sam going off to face the possible enemy without SG1 and having to accompany the ambassador. Then Sam has to make a terrible decision in having to leave the ambassador behind to save earth, then having to cut that rope knowing how painful that landing is going to be. And yet she gets no comfort from any of her teammates! Ooooh that really irks me!
So I am thinking about voting for 2001
i recorded 'just' that part of the ep to keep. i LOVE that part!
I doubt they put that much thought into it. Just give her some medals and make it look good. For an officer like Sam, I would think she would have more medals than they have given her. She has no where near the amount of medals O'Neill had when the series first started.
i think they just hit the local army surplus store and pick up pretty ones....irregardless of whether they're appropriate or not
'evergreen' - sam talks to her plants. what happens when they talk back?
LOL! I actually think this could work. Can't you just see some alien entity taking over her plants to communicate with her? TPTB could take pieces from the plots from Ascension, Entity, One False Step, and Zero Hour and combine them to create a whole new take on the alien possession-type story.
