so any bets on how soon the site crashes following tonights ep? sucks that i'll have to wait at least a day to find out if there was anything squee worthy. how dare everyone else be as into this show as i am!

I'm pretty sure this has already been discussed considering that this is the thread for Sam, but I just thought back to all of the episodes for this season, except for 'Camelot' since it hasn't aired yet, and it just struck me that Sam hasn't really played a big part this season. I mean, there haven't really been any episodes where you could say, 'this is about Sam,' or 'this is something Sam has to deal with.' Of course there were things that Sam had to solve but those were the typical SGC problems that she's always called on to figure out.

i know. it's depressing.

i've thought about this recently, and the only eps i'm going to rewatch when rerun hell starts are:

-give a pass on 'the fourth horseman pt2'-
'collarteral damage'
-give a pass on 'ripple effect'-
'stronghold'
'ethon'
(maybe) 'off the grid'
'the scourge' (my fave ep so far)
'arthur's mantle'
-give a pass on 'crusade'-
haven't seen 'camelot' yet, so i don't know

i hope with all my heart that sam's written as a LEAD character next season, and that the sam/jack angle is not only visited again, but resolved in a PRO/happy way.

Action: Suddenly finger snapping can be heard
Cast: Teal’c appears from around a corner,
He continues to snap his fingers while walking in a crouch
Soon Daniel joins him from another corridor, the two continue to crouch and snap
They walk up the staircase to the main control room
Sam turns and feels the beat and joins in the snapping
Walter stares at all of them as they turn in unison
And dance down the stairs, fingers snapping
They enter the Gate room and break into a lyrical ballet
A la West Side Story …

Listen, listen!
You can hear them singing

Something’s coming 'round the bend
S9 finale (thought it’d never end)
It’s about time

Who knows? Will it grab us, will it work?
Will it leave us in the lurch?

Yes, well I simply choose to ignore that out-of-left-field scene like several other awkward scenes we have had this season regarding Sam. I don't consider them as growth or change, I see them as the writers trying to rewrite history in order to add a bit of angst/ship to a situation. It was poorly done in my opinion, so I prefer to simply erase that it happened from my memory.

season 9 has been, unequivocally, my least fave season of all time. as a fan, i feel that so much as been taken away from me to even enjoy... if it wasn't for sam/amanda still being on this show, i would have bailed. that would have broke my heart if i'd made that decision at the beginning of season 9, but now, i'd almost feel a sense of relief to have it all be over.

this would be about the time (understatement) where someone associated with the show should tell the sam fans (and shippers) something to make them happy and excited. hint, hint, if 'someone' is there
