Sam Carter/Amanda Tapping Discussion/Appreciation

Yup Claudia has said she would need to be toned down for a long run, Michael and Ben also have said the same thing at cons recently. I do think there is potential for Vala. I'm hoping for some good writing of stuff for Vala and Sam together in S10. But as Ben said a couple of times last weekend. It is the writers that create the stories, it is the actors job to do the best job possible to bring them to life, but they can only actor out what has been written for them.

My favorite episode for S9 so far has been 'Prototype' which was written by the new guy Alan McCullough. Hopefully he will be back next year and writing some great new episodes.

Well I'm out of here - driving up into the mountains for a Thanksgiving dinner with friends. Play nice and I'll see y'all later.

So true; but writers unfortunately have overseers a la studio execs and other meddlers with money motives. Hopefully there'll be a mediator capable of giving the best scripts a fighting chance. Even characters we have problems with are well done by the actors; if we give them good scripts geez, they'll REALLY give us a show worth raving over. Let's keep hope alive.

Deepspace hasn't been great lately, but she's going to kick som ass (her own) out of the deep dark pit, and get back to the important things in life, like the internet .

i agree. it's one thing for the actors to recognize the isues....but it's up to the writers/directors/producers to see it too and fix it

if they don't, we could end up with more like the end of affinity. the character sacrificed for the plot

BAHAha, yes, we eat beaver it's my fave, very good with a garlic saute!

Although I have to say Polar Bear is pretty tasty too...!



(The penguins are for making sure the bear is young and juicy, y'know, so we can see how fit they are by how well the angry bears run after the penguins!)
