Royal Balls, Sam/Vala assignments, Gabit ---so much to do for our weekend!

Just another suggestion to celebrate Samanda's 1000th Page milestone:

I'd love to start marathon posts sometime on Friday, as early as 12am (EDT). No doubt we'll make the 1000th page well by Saturday, esp if we get some of the cool pics Samandans know how to post! And if we pass 1000? More is better! End on Sunday, 12 noon EST? (clocks go back an hour this weekend, too.) Drop in, stay in, post and post, come back again!

Anything positive and fun works, and everyone who loves AT/SC is mucho welcome. Oh, and ChopinGal said there's talk of CAKE!

If we're really, really at it, maybe our Samandan ambassadors to Gabit can check in for a spell. Hey, celebrations on both sides of the Atlantic in honor of Amanda Tapping/Sam Carter: can't spread the love better than that! What say anyone?

"The one about two objects not occupying the same space at the same time? It's not precisely true, ever, but... Vala's certainly giving the... experiment... all her efforts, no matter what Daniel thinks of being the object of her... investigations."

Carolyn Lam groaned. "She is indefatigable."

"Yeah," Colonel Carter agreed, grimacing. "She is that. She's also under arrest if she carries on like that in public. Cam let it slip they aren't married - "

"Damn."

"Um - yeah. That's one word for it. And I think the archivist is headed for heart failure, if not a coronary over it, too. Every time the poor thing comes around a corner in the library stacks - there's Vala, all over Daniel."

"She's just doing it to embarass the old woman."

"I know," Colonel Carter groaned. "And I can't get her to listen for long enough to explain that if public lewdness gets you caned in this culture, she doesn't want to find out what a charge of deadly lechery will buy her if Archivist Vesta expires from shock at her antics."

"'Antics,'" Dr. Lam sniffed.

"Antics. Just now she had Daniel's glasses down her d&#233;colletage and wouldn't give them back unless he agreed to... help her with her second child. And when I made her give them back, she stuck her lip out and whimpered, and asked Daniel if he wasn't going to help her deal with the trauma after the mean military roughed her up."

Dr. Lam eyed the ceiling and shook her head. "A bored Vala Mal Duran is a dangerous Vala Mal Duran."

"Oh, yeah," the colonel agreed, with feeling. "Do you think the D'mur legal system has such a thing as the insanity defense?"

"Maybe I could sedate her."

"Ex host. You don't have enough sedatives with you to even slow her down. Maybe you could sedate Daniel."

"There's a thought," Lam grinned.

here's why everything in stargate right now feels screwy....

it's an alternate reality. the end of moebius could show us that.

in our right reality -

*jack wouldn't have disappeared off the face of the planet.

*sam would still have sg1, even if she left because the team was disbanded.

*a green-to-offworld travel officer wouldn't be given a flagship team to command.

*a hooker wouldn't be given carte blanche to the scg.

*a father and daughter wouldn't be allowed to serve together at the same base.

*sam, teal'c, and daniel would still care about one another.

*sam, teal'c, and daniel would mention jack.

*sam wouldn't have sex with aliens that stalked her. (only boyfriends that she'd know for 2 to 3 weeks)


so, it'll be in 'fourth horseman 2' that orlin will tell sam that there's something 'wrong' with this timeline. before he's ascended again, he'll tell her the differences between the realities. sam will tell the others and together, they'll look for a way of reversing the damage.

at the end of the season (don't know the ep's name *because i don't pay attention to these things that once were very important to me*), they'll find a way of fixing what's wrong. season 10 will be about seeing what *really* happened after moebius 2.

Just a quick message

I'm sort of packed and ready for off to GABIT. We'll keep you updated if technology allows. I'm so looking forward to meeting everyone. The Jester will already be at the hotel by now!!

I'm taking a quantity of vintage 2003 sloe gin - I think I may need it and who knows I may manage to slip some to Queenie - as I'm sure she will need it too!!
