I know I said I'm busy, but just can't stay away. All of you curry lovers have to stop by my house & eat my mom's cooking. She's the best cook. I'm partial, but many avid Indian food critics have said that her cooking is better than 5-star restaurant cooking & any other Indian food they've ever had.

RDA comes from good stock. I'm still surprised at his reticence to do a con. The fans would go wild if it ever happened.

Isn't that why he doesn't do them? I thought I read it somewhere, but maybe I'm just pulling it out of my... pocket.

I'd always wondered WHY he's never deigned to speak at even one con, when one day I realized that if people found out he was going, there probably wouldn't be enough security for the facility! Half of the fans would be some serious, hardcore SG-1 fans, and half would be even crazier (and clueless) MacGyver fans. Looking at it that way, I don't blame him for not wanting to go, if that was his reason. Shanks, Tapping and Judge are dang popular, and they STILL don't have as many fans as RDA.

having been to cons when the boys are there, i can testify that fans can be most effusive in thier ardor...and that can be very off putting to some

it can be very overwhelming to stand on a stage and be screamed at...in a good way of course

i forgot to tell you guys something i noticed when i was watching beach head again on monday night.

Spoiler:

in the scene at the end, when daniel's just been told vala didn't ring back to the ship, and you see him start to faint - watch sam. i don't know what she saw or heard, but 'amanda' reacts and we see her trying not to laugh. she glances back to daniel as mitchell and teal'c try to support him up, and it's there that amanda turns, cracks up, and quickly turns away.

i don't know what happened, but it was cute!

Thanks for the tip, Sally. (Wanted to give you some green, but wasn't allowed to. ) I just watched that part of Beachhead again and you are right

it's hilarious. Seems like she was looking at CJ before she turned around and had that smirk on her face before she was totally cracking up. LOL Who knows how often they did this scene and what happened before - but it is too funny.

That reminds me: In the new Stargate Magazine they have this article "Season of Change" with a Set Visit Diary. I think Tsaxlady already quoted some parts from it. I found another part that I thought was too hilarious. Since it's not only about AT and since some of you might still be waiting for your magazine, I am going to put it in spoilers, hope that's okay and it's not too far off topic:

...As always when SG-1 is on the set, there's a humorous atmosphere surrounding the proceedings and much giggling as the cast settle into filming. Chris Judge is in high spirits, and keeps making the crew sitting in video village laugh by making faces at the camera. The hilarity continues as the camera starts rolling, as Ben Browder first fluffs a line, and Judge grins in a most un-Teal'c like fashion in the middle of what is supposed to be an encouraging pep-talk to Daniel Jackson. Then, it's Amanda Tapping's turn to make faces at the camera when she isn't happy with her reaction in one of the takes. The joking around culminates in Chris Judge lowering his trousers and showing his perfectly-formed behind to the mass of crew behind video village...Brad Turner realizes that one of the crew is filming for the season nine DVD extra set. He wasn't banking on it, but Chris Judge just had his antics recorded for the world at large.
