Yay, the forum's back!

Tonight's show was good, a really good Teal'c episode, I thought. Did I miss it, or did they give a reason why Sam and Daniel and Teal'c decided to rejoin SG-1? I thought AT said in an interview that Cam said something sweet and that was the reason.

I loved the interaction between Sam and Barrett. Mentioning Cassie was a nice touch. And

should keep the shippers happy, since they can interpret that in the way they want.

Well, considering that there aren't any new posts here, I guess we all had trouble with the forum.

On a nicer note - watched Ex Deus Machina - what a blast. And Amanda looked amazing IMHO.

Besides the fact that it was an earth-based episode, I really liked Ex Deus Machina. Here is why:
1. We finally have an/our SG-1 Team. I really liked how the writers let Mitchell handle it. The look on Sam's and Daniel's face was priceless. My heart almost stopped beating when Teal'c took his second. It was a very nice scene, I was touched.

2. The second episode with Sam this season. She looked so great in her jeans outfit - wow, how can she already look that lean and fit again. Some great acting from Sam, I especially liked her first scene with Barrett. God, how I missed her facial expressions - she can express so much more with her face than others with words.

3. I also liked it that we finally got some explanation why she was gone, what she was doing. I liked the fact that she was taking care of Cassie - showed a little bit of her nurturing side, very nice.

4. What was that about she is "not exactly single"? (((Shippers))) Very nice and subtle.

5. I loved the fact that Teal'c was finally "there" again - he had some great scenes.

6. I do not care for Gerak, and it's getting worse.

7. Great story - great twists in this episode - can't wait for more from Baal. But I though the end should have been reserved for a nice team scene, considering that this was the episode where we finally have an SG-1 team again.

8. Great acting from everybody.

There will probably be more as I think of it.

GW has an new interview with Cliff Simon and he had this to say about AT -

Simon was certainly glad to be back on the set of Stargate. "[It was] excellent," he said. "I got to see Amanda Tapping's little baby, which was great. She's so excited and she's exhausted as a mother. She's shooting on set [and] her baby's in the trailer with the babysitter. But she's doing well and she's looking great. I just happened to see her, Michael, and Chris. I spoke to them. They're good.

But, the Royal Researcher has big news for Samanda tonight (although I didn't research it---it just came to me by happy fate). I got a message from Atteria's husband today! It was there when I logged in from work at lunch.....but the forum was down then! So here it is! It's not all good news, but I felt encouraged by it. And I wrote him back immediately, asking him to keep us posted, so I am optimistic that he will.

Here's the message:

Thank you for writing and please thank everyone else for being so kind. Nikki is back in the hospital, with another complication from the surgery. Things have not been going well. But the docs are still giving us hope and she's a real fighter.

I'll tell her you wrote and that everyone in Samanda is pulling for her. I know she will be so happy you haven't forgotten her. She talks about all of you so often and how she misses you. I hope someday she will be strong enough to return.

Thank you again. You have all been so wonderful, especially you. I'll be leaving soon to visit, so I'll be sure to give her your messages.

Thanks, I guess I had interpreted that the wrong way. I thought she was referring to why the team came back, not how they came together. I did like the way he made it official,

but I still thought it was strange that Sam was moving back in at the beginning of the ep, with no explanation of why. Maybe the request from Cam in Beachhead was enough. When she was talking to Barrett, I thought she might say something, since she was explaining everything else, but nope. Oh well, I'm just really, really glad that the team is finally together.

i loved seeing sam again!! i guess i'm still in this rapture of sam actually being back.

i still wish sam was leading sg1 , but the team's back together! i liked the way mitchell handed sam her patch, seeing if she was really interested in rejoining. her answering smile was sweet.

i felt soooo sorry for teal'c at the end. all his dreams of freeing his ppl are being crushed by a goauld-like jaffa ***hole. (doesn't lou do a good jerk? )

i kind of wish mitchell didn't make so many one-liners, but at least he really had something to do in this ep! and he got his wish - the band is back together.

as a shipper, i can SQUEE that sam's not on the available market anymore (again).

i LOVED sam's outfit when she beamed into the building. it reminded me of outfits scully used to wear. (i hope someone screen caps a scene of sam in this outfit)

so we finally heard sam's reasons for leaving the sgc. so i assume cassie's over the worst of her probs then, if sam's returning? i know the ori are a huge threat right now, but i can't imagine sam leaving cassie if she's still in trouble. (i wish cassie would be in a ep, and that the actress from rite of passage played her again)

i really enjoyed this ep. didn't love it, but LOVED sam being back (and the nod to her unavailability).

It is wondeful to hear that she is still with us. Many thanks for posting.
I do hope she recovers, somehow that sentiment seems so inadequate for the circumtances, but I'm a little lost for words.
