You all know that pic of a tent giving birth to Amanda?

what exactly is that from?

Did this ever get answered? It's from S7 Chimera ... while they were shooting the Osiris confrontation I believe. And maybe that season's Lowdown had the original shot.

I think I'm right because I was so traumatized by that episode and you-know-who that it made an imprint on my mind!

I would not be opposed to sending flowers or something, but what about sending *our own* card? Perhaps a compilation of Samandan birthday wishes printed out and with a pretty cover by one of our more artistic members? Nothing *nearly* as elaborate as our book. Or maybe a more practical idea would be to ask someone who has a nice color printer and can do a card, to make one with a list of those who wish to "sign," but make it clear it is from us as a separate, dare I say "special" group. Unfortunately I can suggest these things (as is my job as Minister without Portfolio) but I have no color printer or artistic ability.

I like the idea of sending our own card, especially with all the wonderful poems our talented Samandans come up with. Unfortunately, I'm also not computer savvy, so wouldn't be able to help too much on that. If anyone in NYC/NJ/somewhere close to NYC would like to take on the artistic task, I will gladly meet you somewhere and help.

OK, I'm almost finished setting up my new TV and DVD combo player......now I have NO reason to get The Void. Any other suggestions for great AT movies, etc?

I've only seen her in several old TV series......no movies.

if the samanda card is a welcome idea how about this, one or two or three of you talented ladies put your heads together and make a card. you can then put it up on your web space and anyone that wants to participate can print it out, write their own message and send it on

that way it's up for each person to play, they can write their own note and i think it could be cool for amanda to receive a ton - so to speak - of cards for her birthday

it's also not resource intensive for those that need to keep an eye on their pocket book....and i would think that, since it's more personal, amanda may appreacite it more than soeme gift

Great idea, Sky! Kinda like the blue-jello marathon/mail-in a while back! And, remember, this is AT's landmark year ... as several other Samandans share too: the age of wisdom (or anti-wrinkle cream) ... ooh, low blow ... but, royal kiddies, I'm the matriarch and hen so can't resist teasing all of you now and then!

Yes, I'd be willing to print one of our graphic-designer's special B-Day cards out for Amanda, write my own note, and send it on! Count me in!
