Just watched Grace on SkyMix and once again had to marvel at how totally fab AT is. Have to admit that I do have a tendency to emulate Sam at work to a certain extent, not her million point IQ obviously coz I struggle with the newspaper crossword! but her kick a$$ action chick thing that she has going on. Must say though that her uniform is wayyyyy cooler than what I have to wear!

Note to self...must chat to the Commissioner about a fashion revamp for the Met!!

here's the latest

As most of you know, the Stargate Fan Awards server is AWOL, and has
been for nearly a week now. I'm doing everything possible to resolve
this but I'm afraid "everything possible" adds up to "wait for tech
support to fix the ****** thing".

As the Stargate Fan Awards server is still offline, I have created a
temporary mirror site here:

http://sgawards.creative-imperative.net

The mirror site includes everything that's on the main awards site,
except the forum which I'm totally unable to mirror, and the sponsor
site banners because that requires some special coding which I'm not,
currently, able to do.

Please understand that this is a sub-domain of my *personal* site and I
simply cannot afford the bandwidth required to run the vote on this
site. The mirror is there for information only, and *can* support you
guys reading the nominated stories, as long as we don't get too many
more visitors than last year. So feel free to use the site as you
normally would.

The server issue also means that the team email addresses will not work
at present: the Awards Discussion List here on Yahoo is currently the
only way to contact the team, though you can of course contact any of us
privately if you know our email addys.

Another fan has offered us temporary hosting for the awards site. I'm
currently discussing this with her and am hopeful that we will be able
to open voting without too much delay in the schedule. But I don't know.
It's going to take some time and I'm a firm believer in Murphy's Law.

My apologies, again, for the inconvenience. I'll keep everyone updated
via the discussion list.

If you have a Live Journal you can watch the discussion list via RSS by

to your LJ friends. But while LJ will let you comment on these posts,
the Awards Team WILL NOT see any comments you make. For that you have to
respond via YahooGroups.

Can I ask everyone to help get the word out there so we can continue

The cover looks nice, but I make my own SG Calendar. I have a blast making it (it's usually Jack, but I do put Sam in there, too!) I have to figure out what I want to do with 2006.
