Brad & Rob were asked about a SG1 - Atlantis crossover and they said they have purposefully not done a big cross over yet but

AT will be on Atlantis this season - this was said during the Atlantis panel and when Brad said AT would be on Atlantis David Hewlitt started doing this little dance move and someone asked him what he was doing and he said 'The Amanda Happy Dance'

I was in line to ask about the Sam/Cameron issue when they stopped taking questions - However about an hour after the panel I was down in the exhibit hall at the SciFi booth when I turned around and Ben Browder had walked up behind me so we asked him about Sam/Cameron he said

What and see - with a BIG SMILE on his face - then a few mintues later I ran into Tony Optican (works with SciFi and was the SciFi guy on the panel) so we asked him the same thing and he said with a Big Smile on his face 'wait and see, but I think everyone is going to be happy' - So basically we asked but no one would give an answer other than watch Beach Head

TS, thanks so much for the terrific photos ... how close in audience were you and what kind of camera were you shooting with? Using a telephoto/zoom I would think ... these closeups are amazing!

And thanks for the commentary too ... looks like AT is back in the groove and motherhood has just added even more to her radiance!

At first glance, I actually read this as:-

I guess I saw things differently. I did not see this as Mitchell pouting because he did not get his way. I saw this as a man who nearly died saving a group of men and women who he truly admired. During one of the flashbacks he is told that there is a possibility that he may never walk again.

I think what futher flashbacks will tell us next week is that, sometime last year Jack went back to see Cameron during his recovery and told him he could have any post he wanted and he wanted SG-1. So he worked his ass off to recoup and join SG-1. Then when he finally gets to transferred he finds out not only does he not get to work with the people he has admired for so long, but he has been thrown into the position of CO of the SG-1. I'm not a huge BB fan, honestly this is the first thing I have ever seen him in, but I was touched by his performance. I think he came across as a man who was truly disappointed. In my opinion, it would be like me going to Gabit to see Amanda and finding out after I arrive that she has cancelled. I would be horribly disappointed.

My feeling is this... none has yet to say that when Sam comes back she won't be leading. They have only said Cameron would be definitely in charge in the first five episodes. However, now we know that he is the leader of a one-man band...SG

I only have a few minutes so I wanted to respond to this particular part of your post first:

I see it differently because he was brought in with a backstory that makes him almost too perfect; he is a hero who almost died saving SG1 and the world (nothing new to SG1) and he is supposed to be this great leadership material guy, according to Landry, and the way they set him up says to me that he should be a man of great stature and maturity. His reaction to not being on THE SG1 he wanted was immature in my view especially for a man that is supposed to have his background and experience in the military. He is surprised he will not be on a team with THE SG1 and he may have been promised SG1 and his impression was that he would get THE SG1 - he didn't - he got leadership of a team he has to put together that will be called SG1.

That is unfortunate for him but I honestly expected a certain type of quality and maturity from a guy they are giving this kind of backstory to and pouty (yes, IMO he was pouty), immature disappointment is not one of them. Fine be disappointed but remain mature about it - do not attempt to blurt out a "but" reason to a General as if you are about to say if I cannot have Carter, Daniel and Teal'c I don't want anything - that is the impression he gave me - sorry if we differ on that. It was surprising to say the least I never expected that type of reaction from a guy they are trying to build up the way they have been building up this one.

Okay...thanks to my friend and yours ForeverSG1, I was able to get these clips of Sam in Avalon. I edited them a smidge just to clip off the extra non-Sam stuff and to make them significantly smaller file sizes...

I was sitting in the fourth row - I was with a group of 6 other people and we got there early to line up and get good seats. We did a divide and conquer thing with the Con on Sat - we had three hold seats for use during the panel before the SG panel and three of use went to the SciFi booth to get the different pins they were giving out. It was so much fun - the people I was with I have et at the SG & BSG Cons in Burbank in the last month.

Camera - well all the ones I have posted so far were taken with a Sony Cybershot 7.2mg camera with a zoom lens. I also took some with my Minolta 35mm camera but I have not taken that film to be developed yet. I have a lot more pictures that I will upload to my MSN site for everyone to see - I just wanted to get a few up as fast as possible for everyone to see.
