OT Update on my Mum...

Spoiler:

My Mum's been moved to a rehab centre, she still has no feeling in her legs or feet but she's getting lots of physical therapy to try and help her, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that things improve. We both thank you all for your prayers, vibes and thoughts, its really helping guys so thank you.

OT Update on my Mum...

My Mum's been moved to a rehab centre, she still has no feeling in her legs or feet but she's getting lots of physical therapy to try and help her, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that things improve. We both thank you all for your prayers, vibes and thoughts, its really helping guys so thank you.

Many thanks for all the prayers and good wishes of the last week. I was released from bed-prison the hospital after a couple of nights and am happily recuperating from my time of enforced boredom at home with my cats.

So happy to hear that you are on the mend scifithinker...isn't it weird how when you don't have to be in bed you want to be there but when you are forced to stay in bed you would do anything to get out of it...well I do anyway!!!

Oh it's not just you!!
I swear there is something very wrong with me....
People touch me and I accidentally zap them with an electric shock ahaha. Even touching taps I get electric shocks. Also I have destroyed 10 appliances in the last few months and keep blowing light bulbs.

I get zatted daily at work...to the point where I swear...on the bad days you can actually see the blue flash from the static electricity as it jumps out toward you...and boy when it smacks you...it smarts!!!!
But given that we are Samandans...would it be fair to say that we are all positively charged??

How's this for a freaky coincidence? Two friends, one in Canada and one next door to me here in the UK, have new babies in their lives. Both born in the last couple of weeks. The Canadian is to be called Cameron and next door's, Mitchell!

Yup, something totally different and fun. AT would be great at it. I'd love to see her do comedy. I grew up on Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, and in college I discovered French and Saunders and Absolutely Fabulous. My daughter and I quote F&S lines hehe.

I love French and Saunders...first time I saw them I was about 15 and it was Comic Relief...loved them then and love them now!!

I have seen worse...or rather I have seen more in one room than that but I wouldn't call it ridiculous...and who's worried about the expense...there's a lot of memories and good times had up on those walls...you can't put a price on that!

I always thought about putting my pictures and bits and pieces on display, but I tend to keep them shut away. I have my autographed pics in a purple photo album and I keep my other stuff in a box.

I have a special album for most of my pics...I have 2...correction...3 that are framed and on display...one of the team, on of me squeezed in between Carmen Argenziano and Don S Davis and the most recent and most treasured one of all...a picture sent to me from EH-T of Amanda, personally signed and addressed to me...I posted this is the Gabit thread...I hope EH-T doesn't mind I link it here...

I also keep the rest of my things packed up in a box or hanging in the wardrobe...I don't have a lot of SG stuff per se but what I do have I treasure!
Oh...my books and dvd's are all now stored in one cupboard with all my other sci fi related stuff!! I call it my sci fi cupboard!
And my i pod that I got for mothers day has been officially named "Spottie"...it was gonna be called Carter then I said no...Tappinator but then settled for Spottie...I think it will draw less attention that way!

Anyhoo...I just wanted to say a huge thank you to EH-T for the most wonderful gift...I'm truly a very lucky person and I am forever grateful for what you did for me...thank you so much!
I also want to send a big huge hug to Tracy...coz you need it sweetie!

I spent a very enjoyable afternoon yesterday watching the first season of SG1 with my best mate. We have a new convert! He agrees that AT rocks and that Sam is an awesome character. It was very cool to watch it with someone who has never seen it before and I had forgotten what big hair Sam sometimes had back then lol.
