I am here And most of the replicarter vids I had where on youtube and were all got off from youtube...

But I must say I still have one great one... on the song from Requim for a Dream.

I think Replicarter is a fine example of why AT is such an amazing actress, how hard must it be to play an 'evil' version of a character you've played for years without getting bad....gotta get that line between making the character believable as the original and yet still different...AT did an awesome job as Replicarter in making the two different but still powerfully recognisable in each other.

seeing her play someone seriously off the deep end nuts but normal on the surface would be cool...I just know she'd hit the nail on the head with the subtle nuances that really wacko people have...the whole 'something missing behind the eyes' thing that ya see on real nut jobs.

Like one of the serial killers on Criminal MInds or something. ones that are so normal in one way, but totally nuts in another. The one example i can come up with off the top of my head is Murdoc from Macgyver, just with out the OTT of him.

Yeah. It was good. I liked that sneaky evilness of her playing replicarter. That's what she should be like again.

Knowing little about show business or acting myself, I've been trying to figure out what is 'good' acting vs 'bad' acting. Many posts talk about AT as an 'excellent' actress.

My question for you all is: What specifically is 'good' acting to you and why does that apply to AT?

For me it's the connection between thought and dialogue. Anyone can learn lines, but it is the process of actively thinking through the words that allows the relevent emotion to unlock and the performer to connect with what they're saying. In order to enjoy a performance I want to watch someone "be" not someone "act like they are being". It's why I love to watch Amanda and Claudia, if I feel pain when they feel pain then I know they're doing their jobs. Both are great actresses whom I admire greatly

I think Amanda would make a GREAT evil character. She's got that innocent look about her to lull you into a false sense of security and then WHAM! she gets ya with her evil plot to take over the world.
