Ok, story related to that image and why it says what is says. I collect 'buttons' *with sayings on them*. I found one a few years ago that reads "I'd kick your *** but this is my best dress" It's my fav and I find it funny since I rarely wear dresses anymore (what's the point? No guy around to appreciate how I look in one and panty hose are EVIL! EVIL I tell you). When I saw the image of Sam (looking ever so HOT in that dress) I had to make that image. I mean, we all know that Sam is a kick *** woman.

I always think Sam can wear whatever and still looks nice and can kick ass no matter what. Doesn't matter what she wears. It is all in the attitude actually. I think that is why I didn't mind the dresses and stuff like that. Or even not the dress of emancipation, cause it was how she reacted to it and how she wears them. It is how you handle things that matters...not what you wear.
if you ask me Sam could be wearing a bikini and still would be kick ass warrior and someone who rocks!

sam shows up to 'save them' from being marooned. she is either then put in command 'hey weir is out of commission, watch the store for her ok?.' but then, when she goes 'ok, how long will this TDY last.... they go 'umm, yeah, hope you brought your big suitcase' and she's just tossed in head first

I honestly hope this will NOT be the case, as much as I love Sam, and all the things she can do...

I don't want her to save the day. I hope they make her help Rodney and Atlantis team to find a solution together. that way she is already integreted in the team a bit. And then I would love to see Weir telling Sam that she can't do her functions as leader of atlantis because of her injuries. and ask Sam to take over until she is better...
would also make sense why it isn't Caldwell who leads Atlantis... cause I don't think Weir really him and trust him to take over.

I don't think the military would've chosen Sheppard. He's a great team leader, and a great military commander in terms of rallying the troops and being a good example of an honorable officer. But I don't see the JCS picking him, nor do I see him being interested.

I don't think he is interested at all, and I don't think no one really would want him there, they already had issues with him leading the team in season 2 so I don't think they will want him as leader of SGA... If it wasn't for Weir, he probably had never had the leading possition of the teams anyway so... and I don't think Weir can have that influence again...

True, Caldwell has senority, but when it comes down to it, Sam has more knowledge about the Stargate program than...anyone. DH made a remark about that in his interview.

I know I'd rather have experience than senority.

Yes Sam does have more experience if it comes to the stargate but not if it comes to the Pegasus galaxy, what you also need a lot. But then she also knows a lot of the replicators and from what I have heard we will hear from them a bit more so maybe they wanted someone experienced with them... cause she knows how they think and act, even though they are different from the ones on the Milkyway

i'll be going about it backwards. IF i like what i'm seeing in season 4 -non sam related- then i'll go back and watch the other 3 seasons.

i've thought about starting up a thread to ask questions to atlantis fans, but i *knew* the angry and/or mean spirited ppl would come in and ruin it. or tell me to go watch to find out.

The scene that I remember was with Carter and Sheppard, standing inside what looked like a lift. Sheppard turns to Carter and says "Congratulations!" and then there's an awkward pause before Carter goes "Thanks! (beat) What for?" and Sheppard gets all shy and awkward because he's not good with feelings and stuff and he was like "I never congraulated you on your promotion. So... here I am, congraulating you, Colonel!" and Carter was like "... OH! right! Thanks! *beams*" It was SO cute.
