You know when I first read this I started laughing ... then I had to stop and think you know there will be one or more *cringe* that would actually ask one of those questions. *rolls eyes* I agree with who ever said they should field the questions before the fans steps up to the mic....

I don't know why but I just assumed Hammond learned about Sam through stories Jacob told at work. Sam didn't really recognize Hammond in "1969" she read his name tag. If she knew him as a child I would have thought she would have seen some similarities in the man she knew in her childhood to the man standing in front of her ... LOL but as Stargate barbie mentioned he has changed a lot over the year so anything is possible.

She was *teething* in 1969.

And I can see someone asking those questions.

Well, what could be more important to the fate of the galaxy than voting for The Road Not Taken or Solitudes??? Nothing I say! Nothing!

Just an update for everyone -

Solitudes only needs ONE vote to get to fifty and take fourth place.

Family Ties only needs six more votes. TRNT is quite a bit behind and needs 10 votes to come in fifth ahead of Family Ties.

minor rant-type thing:
i gotta say this whole vote-family-ties-as-favorite-sam-ep debacle is rather upsetting. i didn't thing it'd be--didn't want it to be--a competition. but seeing family ties about to come in fifth, in front of nightwalkers and death knell and more than doubling gemini, D&C, entity, and ITLD. jolinar's memories has 6 votes. family ties has 40. that make sense to anyone? because it's over my head. i just voted for TRNT to try to keep up, and i haven't even seen it yet.

I've kinda come to terms with the whole thing. I mean, Memento Mori won as Best Daniel Episode in that thread. That's right. Memento Mori. Out of the 200+ eps that Daniel was in, Memento Mori was voted as the best Daniel ep.

So yeah... I guess I've kinda given up.

AFTER that question. Definitely. But before someone asks her why she chose to take over Atlantis. I vote that one gets saved for last.

I doubt she did the choosing--remember she's military and goes where she's sent. (although I think she may have a little say, it boils down to who the General feels is best for the job and would have the last word. I think she'll be great at it and I'm really looking forward to season 4. Her new uniform looks classy from all I can see in the few pictures.

They usually do but they didn't have it the last time I was there last week. I'll try again after the weekend. I'm in Seattle and maybe different stores carry different mags. They have an incredible number of them.

I mean it's quite possible that someone mistakenly thought that the birthstone for December was emerald -- but more than likely they just completely forgot that Sam's birth month had already been stated in Entity.

So one way or another Sam should be 38 years old by the end of the year, that is -- if she were truly born in 1969.

Something that you have to freeze frame isn't counted as canon. To be canon it has to be easily seen or heard. So the way I see it is that Sam's age has never been established in canon.

I have a little favor to ask...I'm looking for a fanfic I read ages ago...it's about Sam and Teal'c being trapped in a cave in and Sam kinda drowns...IIRC it has to do with the whole "black widow curse" thing and she' carries a rubber spider in her pocket...does anyone know where I can find this fic???....it's been bugging me for days now...I can't find it...I would be very grateful for any help!
