I'm sorry I kind of dropped off the face of the Earth... It feels the exact opposite to me, as if the world was dropped on ME! literally 19 hour days. In addition to the millions of tasks/activities/work things etc. I've had a constant throbbing headache from no sleep for the past 3 weeks, so going on the computer lots its appeal in that while, as well some horrible things have happened in the past while to two of my friends, seperately... i've been trying to help them as much as I can.

I see you guys have certainly been on a high! About 2000 posts since I was last here....

There's no plausible way I could catch up in the next... long time, so I guess I'll have to be hopelessly behind and out-of-the-loop, especially joke-wise, until I can!

I have heard that we've sent Amanda some flowers and chocolaaate!!!

I'm sure she'll love them!!!

I've been asked about my play... thanks for you questions, it's going GREAT!!! We performed in Festival last Saturday, the last night of the whole thing, and, although we expected nothing (loong story) my really good friend who was the techy got the awards (trophy plaque things) for both Lighting and Sound.

I'm so proud of him! And the Festival venue didn't even have all the lights we're having for the real show... as well the Director/writer, whom I look up to very much, recieved 3 "special" awards (I think every festival i've been to has had some fun specific award things

i've got some myself!)

Our full actual run is all of next week, been doing promotions and such all this week, as well as a little special thing on Monday, heh, I'm looking very forward to that.

As well today my jazz and concert bands as well as at chamber choir and jazz ensemble performed for a horde of elementary music students

it was SOOO fun!!! We had a whole Blues Brothers shindig going on, and movie music and crazy drum solos and such. Good times!

Well, exciting thing for me, I recently found a link to a trailer, yes, live moving clips, from the mysterious movie Stuck!!! Since 2002 i've been searching crazily for anything related to it, but it got shelved, and I haven't been able to

I wonder what she's saying, lol.

Helloooo Baaack, Madam Pressie! Glad you filled us all in with what's been happening ... we were getting a bit worried. Sorry to hear of the stress you've been under and hope your friends will be doing better too.

Not to worry about the avalanche of posts since you've been gone - all you have to do is a) find an abandoned puddle jumper b) fly it through the nearest stargate c) take a couple of your best friends along to cheer them up and show them what they've been missing d) play around with the time-dilation device or some such doohicky e) enter a Moebius loop f) fly back and pick up at this thread right where you left off a few weeks ago. See? Very simple! Stargate quantum physics ...

But, for the present moment, may we wish that you BREAK A LEG in your show (and not during military training)!!

Whatever Astro/Keeper puts together from all of us will be a labor of love, for sure, knowing how invested Astro is in this thread. However, if this booklet or portfolio is done well it really becomes something special that AT, herself, (or even her publicist) has probably not had time or thought about doing: it becomes a review, a snapshot, of her portrayal of Sam Carter.

This could become a scrapbook to show Olivia one day - this is what your mom did for a certain part of her acting career! I think we should dedicate the compilation to Olivia from her mom's fans. How lovely that she will one day get to read what many people thought of her mom - Amanda's influence on others and her professional ability in bringing Sam to life. This is just a thought, but it has been on my mind. One day, years from now, mom may want to share some of her legacy with her daughter ... and she'll have our little contribution to help her tell the story of "Sam and the Stargate".

Something quite innocent, a first post by Major Sally just admiring the "character of Sam", started an amazing thread. Then Major Sam gave us the idea for "Samanda" and we jumped on it and all kinds of fun things began to happen. Fans started to bring in bits of themselves (humor, great discussions, sarcasm, wit, originality, artwork/photo manips, screencaps and captions) ... and many kind words and compliments helped to bring out some gifts that people didn't even know they had!

But I see something even more ... many of us have noted that many internet threads sometimes take a nasty turn and dissolve into a great deal of noise. I think, just by writing about Sam/Amanda, we have managed to incorporate some of her own generous spirit and good will on to this board. She is a very fun-loving and kind person (by all accounts and observations). And I think that there's a lot of that here with the back-and-forth comments and teasing and exchanges that go on. It's wonderful to see and experience. User-friendly cyberspace!

So, I think that we are heading in the right direction by reviewing some of the past posts and extracting some of the unique "moments" of hilarity, discussion, debate, admiration, etc. which highlight just why we think Sam is such a great character! And, Astro, I'm willing to commit some time to this, behind the scenes with you, (now that our spring semesters are coming to an end).

What a lovely and inspired idea! I wholeheartedly agree!
