Hey all! Just checking in. Life has been busy since I announced my big move. It's still slow going but hopefully tomorrow I'll have a definate date of the move.

Advertising that funds other enterprises is paid for via us - the eventual customer who pays for the huge advertising costs in the retail price.

I for one am really exited for the opportunity to support something directly without unwittingly supporting any other organisation. In addition, with the project being totally self funded there will be NO OUTSIDE PRESSURE directing the style and direction of the show. The people involved making the programme will be able to make their own creative decisions. That is something that we should try and support if we can, given that we suspect outside pressure is at least partly to blame for the devastating direction SG1 took in season 9.

As for a Samnda fund I think it a great idea. I shall Put my money where my mouth is and say that I will be prepared to sponser one UK Samandan who can't afford the download certainly for the first 20 eps!!!

I would rather do this than for someone to try and cheat the system somehow and get the episodes for free. If too many people go down that route then the programme will be pulled for lack of revenue. It sounds like individuals are risking a lots of their own cash - I hope we can all respect that and do the right thing!!

I was also thinking today how cool it is Amanda is advancing in her career (like Sam should have) - EP, financing her own projects (like she did her comedy group), growing professionally, working with friends, YAY!

I will help with the Samanda fund, too, if needed. Happy to support the entire Sanctuary idea - I like the whole team - Menard, Wood, Kindler, Tapping. Don't know the others, but they must be OK by proxy.

I really want this to be a successful business venture for them. The networks and production companies are watching, and this is the future of the entertainment industry. Amanda, Damian (loving him at the moment), Martin, and team deserve to make a profit.

Amanda Tapping continues to amaze. She's a talented actress and all around professional. She cares about doing her best work and taking on new challenges. I can't wait to see her latest role and I have no doubt she'll put her all into the project. But what has really turned me into a mega fan is her graciousness and generosity. There's so much room for stardom to go to your head, but AT by all accounts has her feet on the ground. She treats everyone well. She cares about her fans--as her latest chat illustrates. She is a truly generous person--one of the latest examples is her charity work at AT2. [/gush]

I agree, actually AT made me more of an SG and Sam fan. I like successful people that remain moral and kind.

As what totem Sam would have...wow that is a though one...I would say a strong animal but also an animal who is sweet and soft and always there to help their friends...an animal that lives in a group...I would go with an elephant...Cause I think that is the animal with those characterizations... there will probably be a better animal out there...but hey it is almost 6 am and work was hectic...so give a girl a break

Someone had expressed a concern about episodes expiring after they were downloaded. Here is the answer from Dan "The Man" Woodland.

There is NO WAY that webisodes will expire. Once you pay for it, it is yours for as long as you want. I have had a few e-mails about gift cards and the ability to buy episodes to burn for friends/family. This is a really interesting request that we will seriously consider. Keep all the great ideas coming...

I've been following the conversation about Sanctuary and pay for downloads of the show and i must say what a lovely thought of Samandans offer to help people in any way to get to see this show, i would like to add my voice to you all to help out if i can.
I myself am very new to internet tec. and still learning my way around, i'm going over to broadband in two weeks time with ntl cable just so i can (i hope) get to see Amanda in Sanctuary, i could not get the teaser to play on my windows player but i downloaded the new quicktime7 and i could watch it for the first time!

A question, when i downloaded quicktime i had the option of also downloading itunes, which i did, is this the same itunes that you are all taking about and if it is how would i go about geting Sanctuary if it was to go through itunes?
Oh i'm from the UK, thankyou for any help you might be able to give me
