Sam Carter/Amanda Tapping Discussion/Appreciation

Cool news on the new series. I love the idea of it being distributed on the internet. As for what I think it's about, MW says think "Batman Begins", so I expect it to be kind of dark, with Amanda and crew as the heroes. Maybe something apocalyptic along the lines of the Mad Max world. Whatever it is it definitely looks interesting.

Phew lots of post to get caught up on. I am very excited for stargazer and the rest of you all and I am not even going. I am not pouting or nothing. Okay I am pouting.

What could Sanctuary be about? Hmmm I hope someone doesn’t grab onto a rope attached to a bell and start yelling SANCTUARY SANCTUARY! Although it would be funny. Maybe Amanda will be the bad guy.

Since I am pouting I made a video to distract me.

Excellent rendition! Sam does pain so well. And you made me really like Cam by capturing all the right moments of his concern for Sam. Great job, including the audio blips and the way you ended it.

There is a bit of a resemblence there... interesting new look

Plus ironically Lucy is actually very blonde now....

Funny, because that was my double-take too. Ironically LL is naturally fair. It could just be the angle, but the resemblance struck me.

maybe it's something like logan's run. Or soemthing like Gatica, where society has genetic standards for existence,and all the 'freaks' are put down. And there's this sanctuary, place where all the freaks are welcome. And then, after years of this ickyness, somethign happens to society and it needs someone to 'save' it, and it's a freak. (hence the batman begins, an origin story of a hero)

and there's this conflict. society hates them, but society needs them. some welcome them, some hate them, some need tehm, some want to kill them

With a slant towards X-Men but not so cheesy?

Conflict is good and it makes for some fantastic and compelling stories. It'll be interesting then how all these 'freaks' interact with each other and society - some feeling hurt and suppressed, not wanting to help whilst others want to help and are more proactive about the whole issue.

Ok here's a new little game...

From looking at the promo photo, what do you think the series will be about? What is Sanctuary?

Really I have no idea!! I think they are doing it great to keep it a mysterie...it can be everything but still I am excited about it cause it has Amanda in it and that is always good :-)
Although not sure about the whole internet thingie...I like to see things on tv...better quality and such...and also bigger screen ;-) But we shall see...
I am just glad Amanda is doing something different then Sam...I think it will give her a lot of oppurtunities and new things to explore...

I also want to say that I loved Replicator Sam too! And I think that Amanda is such a versatile actress that Villain could really work, especially on a darker show, like the way Sanctuary seems to be.

Maybe she could be one of those characters you think are good but a little misunderstood but then turns out to be pure evil!

yes fun and entertianing...and we all know she would do an amazing job with it eh...I think with SG they ditched RC way to soon...I think they could have done so much more with it...I think Amanda really could have done much with it if they had let her do...If they didn't kill RC
I also think Amanda liked playing RC cause it is something new for her...I mean Sam must be great to play...but to play someone totally different then Sam...that must have been fun

So I do hope she will be some kind of evilish in Sanctuary...and with evil maybe comes whump eh I mean that would be perfect...

We will just have to wait and see...

My money is on a secret society type superhero(es) story - something where a group or individual(s) save people on a regular basis from horrible evil - but not before they get together and discover their calling (as hero(es)). My 0.02 cents.

Really disappointed in "Sanctuary" - Internet Series WTF ? Why not give it for free
I had such high hopes for AT after "Stargate" - big motion pictures with chances for Golden Globes and Oscars...
