Wow i've just watched last nights "Line in the Sand" and Amanda was awsome!
Spoilers for above episode.

when Sam got shot was really a heart stoping moment and to see just how much pain she was in really did have an inpact on me.Sam has been at deaths door before but tonight it was diferant and i could'nt put my finger it as to why it was making me feel this way, it came to me this morning, Sam looked as if she was embrasing her death and was looking beyound for God and that i believe is the first time i've heard Sam ever talk about religion.
I liked the interaction between Sam and Cam and the fact he was helping her to think and give up.
As always Amanda has given us a wonderful performance and i just love to watch all the expressions that go across Amanda's face when showing us just what Sam is feeling. Well done Amanda, nice job! ((((((Amanda)))))

Seriously, I doubt any of us will skip an Amanda episode of SGA! Honestly, I think adding Amanda is the best move TPTB could make at the moment. She is so talented, and Sam is such a well rounded character. She is just what this struggling (and remember I love the show) series needsat the moment.

I am going to continue avoiding the SGA threads for awhile, so that Sky doesn't have to go mod on me. I don't like negative press for Amanda, but I do understand their feelings. If this were SG-1, and Amanda were becoming a recurring character then we'd be upset and looking for someone to blame, too. Unfortunately, at the moment, Amanda is their easy target.

Good afternoon all...just a quick hello today...very hot again today but thankfully we didn't lose power and the house was nice and cool when I came home from work!!
Yesterday I got a wonderful surprise in the mail...another GW'er had sent me a gift...it's a sterling silver necklace with the earth symbol on it...I was sooo stoked...I haven't stopped smiling since I put it on...the kids are jealous...hehe ...anyhoo...just felt like sharing that!!
I just wanted to make a quick comment about the current situation...and I promise...I'll be quick and nice...I hope!!
The kids and I thoroughly enjoy SGA and are disappointed that the PTB have taken the road they have with the show...I hope it doesn't come back and bite them in the mikta!
I don't understand the bad feelings towards Amanda...it's not right that she is being blamed or targeted because she's accepted a job that she is contractually bound to do...if people want to blame someone then they should be looking at TPTB...not Amanda...there's just no justification in that! Sorry bout the rant but I just don't get it...and I think that's it from me...I'm gonna go back to my happy place...and I'll be back later in the week...so cheers everyone...take care, be safe and smile and hug your loved ones...I hugged my kids before I left for work this morning and my 2 neices and nephew who were all waiting at my house for their Oma to take them out...it was nice to leave for work with everyone smiling from the group hug...good night Samanda!!

Here is what I noticed about AT's acting, and since I know nothing about acting, I feel a bit presumptuous.

Being in healthcare, out of habit I find myself looking at peoples' pupillary responses to see if they are in true distress - emotional or otherwise.

Spoiler:

Amanda's pupils match her distress - in other words, they dilate appropriately with stress and then constrict down during the non-threatening scenes.

No-one can dilate or constrict their pupils on demand, this is reflexive, which to me is an indicator of how completely Amanda acts her scenes. Amazing, actually.

Wouldn't have noticed it at all except for the close up caps... now I'll have to see how other actors measure up to AT hehe!

Great observation! Amanda is the consummate actor! I think she really lives the part. And I can't wait until we get to see this episode too.

This episode seems to bring Sam and Cam closer and that would be a good thing after the S9 confusion and chain-of-command thing. I like seeing him take care of her. Although someone mentioned that he was "stitching her up" and that seemed a bit much considering she has a critical wound of the stomach. I think she needed more than a band aid on this one. Somehow, though, this ep makes the team more cohesive for me. And doesn't her expression with the cookie remind us of another moment?

Kat, thanks so much for the great LITS caps! I can't help but think how wonderful Janet and Sam would have played a scene around this episode. Boo hoo!
