I was just reading spoilers for the Quest 2 and I have an observation.

I love that Sam was called Guinevere. I hope the rest of season 10 or the movies actually go somewhere with this piece of information.

ok guys I have a question. I went over to the Sony forums and what was disturbing was that many people (outside of the Sam appreciation thread) seem to exclude Sam as "part of the team" it seems like everytime they adore the main cast, it's minus Sam. What the heck is up with that?

Welcome. I honestly don't know what the deal is. There is a lot of Sam hate out there, and I can't understand it for the life of me. Anyway, welcome to Samanda, where Sam is a part of the team.

Oh I know how you feel My first venture into Stargate forums was that one (which would have been over a year ago) and I felt myself hoplessly outnumbered being a Sam fan. But don't worry you've found the right place here, and will always be welcomed as a Sam fan

Hello everyone. I'm de-lurking for a minute to tell you all about a recent Stargate event I hosted. I hosted about a half-dozen guys for an all-night Stargate marathon (Season 8 plus a few Atlantis eps just for fun). Anyway, since they were all going to meet me over here and most of them had never been here before, I thought I would help them out with a little front door greeting. I taped a picture of Sam dressed in the black T-shirt (with sleeves, so it must be pre-season 9) on my storm door with a little word balloon that said "Come on in, Boys...I've been waiting for you!" It was a riot. Anyway, we only got about half-way through season 8 so maybe we can have another marathon some time to watch the rest. As you know, Sam is really the star of season 8 so I thought you all would appreciate the thought.

I think she figures that a wide range of sparring partners provides her the best possible way to keep her skills sharp, so she spars with just about anyone who is willing and available. She even offered to train Felger in one wild moment when she was feeling overly magnanimous, but he's too scared to actually take her up on it. She also spars with the newbies when they come in because it's easier to deal with the obnoxious, macho men when she's handed them their asses on a plate.

Sam kicks ass, literally.

answering mandy's question and replying to yours...

i think sam would spar with teal'c. he would not only teach her fighting techniques, but defense as well. teal'c is a virtual cavalcade of knowledge and experience, so... i'd pick him, hands down.
