Sky One are supposed to be showing The Quest, part 2 (episode 10:11) on Tuesday January 9th which means that, barring any breaks in airing, the final episode should be shown on Tuesday March 13th.
Of course, this is Sky One we're talking about, therefore anything can happen!
ugh. that's still a looooong time from now!
but it's a LOT closer when you figure when scifi channel will show the final.
i think scifi bumping the schedule even further away only goes to show they really don't care how the ratings go.
Once again, I had the good fortune to share another girls’ night out with Stargate’s two leading ladies. They continue to bare it all while sharing more of their experiences. Diane Sawyer, eat your heart out as Jester proudly presents …
The Hot Tub Dialogues – Take Three
Jester: It seems that this is becoming an annual event. Sam: I just never realized how much fun a female buddy could be. I’d been a part of the good old boys’ club for so long that there didn’t seem to be any room for a companion to add to the estrogen bubbles. Vala: The only bubbles I want are in my champagne. Sam: Vala, you know what I mean. I’ve grown accustomed to your face … Vala: I really make the day begin? Jester: Listen, I hate to break both your bubbles, but I’m on a mission here and promised the folks at Samanda that I’d ask the big question. Vala: What’s a Samanda?! Sam: DUH. If you kept up with the masses, you’d know that it’s the fourth star on the right in the Pegasus Galaxy, a favorite hangout for me when I’m in between Atlantis and the SGC. Vala: So do they worship the Orii or the Wraith? Sam: Get real. They worship me. Jester: Can we get back on task? Samandans want to know if you two have done a body swap for one of the final episodes of Season Ten? Sam: It had to happen. The boys were getting restless. Vala was acting calmer and not making passes at Daniel any more so TPTB thought they’d liven things up a bit. Actually, it was my idea. I’m so damn tired of the technobabble. Vala was getting all the touchy-feely contact. Jester: ‘Touchy-feely’ as in …? Vala: Grope and mope. You’ve seen one doohickey, you’ve seen them all. Sam: Excuse me. You haven’t even begun to explore the vast collection of doohickeys that SG1 has amassed after ten seasons. I still treat each one with respect and you’d be wise to do the same, sister. Vala: Well, isn’t that why we agreed to do the body swap? I get to fool with the doohickeys and you get to fool with Daniel. Sam: Daniel is like a brother to me. I just wanted to stretch my … pectoral muscles so to speak. I can wear leather just as well as you can. Vala: You can have the leather. It makes me sweat. Sam: Yeah, that’s my point. I noticed that Walter and Landry and even Cam were suddenly falling over themselves to sit next to me in the briefing room. FCOL, Walter isn’t even supposed to be at the briefings. Vala: No one was breaking down the door to my lab. Sam: Now you know what it feels like to be the brainy one, the meek geek. Vala: I’d rather be the geek in heat. Jester: Uh, so the body swapping didn’t go all that well? Sam: To be honest, it had its moments. I didn’t mind the extra attention from the guys on the set and the director and the producer and the crew and the chefs and the carpenters and the maintenance men and the security guards. Vala: Yeah, she got the best of the deal. Suddenly blondes were having more fun while I was living like a nun. Sam: It was only one episode. Deal. Jester: At least you both have a better appreciation of each other’s psyche now. Sam: It did take some practice to master the panting and sultry looks. Vala: I never mastered the techno talk. My mouth felt out of its element. Wrapping my tongue around multi-syllable words seemed such a waste. My tongue had such better things to do in the past. Jester (coughing): But I’m sure that the Stargate fans, especially the Samandans, will be thrilled with this episode. You both seem to have bonded and bring a lot of, of … something to the show’s last season. Sam: Beauty and brains. Vala: Spot on. When we’re hot, we’re hot. Jester: One last question. Will Sam enjoy crossing over to Atlantis now that SG1 is ending? Sam: Oh my, yes. I understand that I won’t have to spout all the technobabble as much. They’re giving me a new, unique ability. Vala: With Daniel opting out, only Sam Carter could handle this one. Sam: I speak whale.

You've outdone yourself, Jester! Too funny! "I speak whale."
I know this will not be everyone’s cup of tea, but here are two Jack/Sam stories that I found last night. I thought both stories had really good characterizations
A good Beta is worth his or her weight in gold. Because no matter how often you go over it, you're gonna miss something obvious to every reader in the world otherwise. At least, I always seem to.
That's all I'm saying...
Hi,
Thanks, I'll give it a go

Spoiler:
-*points up*these four are the ones I'm kind off iffy about. They'll all probably go back under the PSP knife tomorrow.
-these three I like. I don't do b&w icons all that often, but this one turned out rather well, I thought.
I'd love to hear what you guys think of them!
Thank you for 10 years of Sam Carter, Amanda Tapping!
