Amanda at the Geminis last night.

I found this at another image service, so unfortunately it has watermarks all over it. Perhaps clearer photos will be released in the next week or so.



She really looks lovely with the long hair.

Okay I just got back home from the Farscape Con and Ben Browder told the story about what Chris did to Amanda on set that Ivon Bartok mentioned in his blog for folks to ask Amanda about - because I do still want to pose the question to Amanda but with a twist after Ben telling the story I'm going to put this in spoiler tags for anyone that is going to AT2 and does not want to hear the story before then. The story is going to come with a picture which I'm putting is a seperate spoiler tag first for those that would like to see how Ben appeared on stage dressed today (if you have seen Farscape you will understand)

After having answered several questions in a row about Stargate Ben all of a sudden started bouncing up and down (which was to funny in the Bunny suite) and said "Oh I'm going to beat Chris Judge and Amanda with telling this - Chris pulled the best prank I have ever seen on Amanda" at this point he tells everyone what Chris did - Chris walked into the scene/room dressed in a thong only with SG1 written in big letters - then he goes on to say that Amanda was in the middle of a big emotional scene when he did - at this point he starts acting like he's Amanda doing the scene (remember he was dressed in a Bunny suite as he does this) - he steps back from the mic and say's "Emoting, Crying" then pretends to cry - then he turns looks start ahead stops dead in his tracks jaws drops a bit - and then he turned around and started laughing -- I'm not sure what was funnier the story about what Chris did or watching Ben act like Amanda dressed as a Bunny -

On a side note Ben was really funy today -SunKrux I had dinner with the lady Ben asked about poll dancing - he really caught her off guard and she did not know how to respond to him

yeah I agree she really looks so young...Actually the other day my best friend and I were talking and we started talking about my obsession...Yeah he thinks I am obsessed by SG...and actually I take that as a compliment So well if we talk about SG I tend to talk a lot about what an amazing character Sam is and what a great actress Amanda is...So I don't know but one minute to another we started talking about her age and he thought she was begin 30... He thought she was about 31 or so...And when I told her how old she was...He really could not believe it...
So yes she does looks young for her age and that is really something good...although sometimes it can be a burden...especially when you are young and people think you are younger than your age...Really annoying from time to time...Being 22 and people think that you are 16 and ask for your ID when you want to buy beer...

lol. Has to be great to see Ben live acting and playing the story in the costume. But how great would it be to see Chris' joke and the actions, and faces live on the set.

jep, definitely I reacted quite the same when I first got more into Stargate then just watching it, some years ago. I mean she doen't want to talk about her age - which is cool through - but you can find it out anyway (ok, not the topic right now...) and I pretty much had the same difference between my guess and the reality. In her age, I think it's great to be thought younger that you actually are.

Poor Eve. I can relate. I'm 31 and hubby's 30. We both got carded entering a poolhall/videogame/bar. (Sad, to have to carry an ID just to play videogames.) It's a bit frustrating at times, especially when I get funny looks because one of my eight year olds calls me mom.

And I just thought I'd comment on how AT looks great as the Glam Gal. She's managed to pull off just about every hairstyle at this point, and the long hair is no exception. I'm glad she's been given the opportunity to get back to the "girly-girl" femininity she's mentioned before. It's a good look for her.

Someone inquired about where I got the pics of Amanda at the Geminis. Sorry I didn't post this before, but I initially forgot which website I got them from and had to do another search to find them again.

I got them from United Press International (http://www.upi.com). I think they offer trial subscriptions to get the high-res photos w/o the watermarks, but you may have to be a member of the press to do so. I didn't have the time to read through their terms and policies info, so I'm not sure.

They also offer prints of the photos for sale to anyone (personal use only), but they are very expensive ($40 for an 8X10 ) . Having said that, it would be a very cool pic to have autographed by AT if you are lucky enough to be going to AT2 (and are rich enough ).

I haven't yet figure out if it's a good thing or not to look younger then my age (I'm only 20). I had a 17 year old hit on me and he couldn't believe I was 20. I don't think I look that young.

imo this is a topic we shouldn't talk about. Amanda wants to keep her year of birth secret 'cause she wants poeple to think about it theirselves and make them there on idea of it. And I respect this and think it's kinda cool...

Well, it used to be true, Amanda never used to mention it, but she talked very openly last year about her age and how she turned forty etc.

I'll only say this on the topic of AT's age. I thought it was fantastic when she was so open on being 40 and having a baby and working. Too much emphasis these days is being put on being young in Hollywood (or, technically, I guess you'd have to say Vancouver).

More power to her for proving you don't have to be 25 and a size 0 to be a smart and sexy leading lady. At the age of 19...(woot! I turn 20 on Saturday!)...I'm proud to count Amanda Tapping as one of my top role models, and when I introduce my kids to Stargate one day, I hope that they'll find the same qualities in her as I do now. That's just my two cents.
